  1. Thomo don't put yourself down mate, we all have to learn and gain experience, I'm not sure where you are but nellie has just moved to edinburgh area so I'll be in the central belt most weekends, once she gets settled in and we get the gear lever on her YBR sorted we can meet up. 11th, not sure if we can make this one but will probably be 2up on the Bandit if its heading down to Largs, edinbugger to largs and back is a bit much on a 125
  2. definitely due a new chain, they reckon one can last 14k but this would be in ideal conditions not on our salt laden roads, personally I'd be delighted to get 10k from a chain. I suspect the reason it seems slack is that it has developed a tight spot and you tightened things back up at this point, therefore when you stopped the bike with the chain in a different position it is slack. Remember to change your sprockets at the same time as your chain.
  3. middle of lambing and start of calving so if I do get there it'll be a last minute thing
  4. had a long hard look at these cos I'd love to make vids of the roads/scenery round here Just need to find the money though
  5. Thanks akey, looks like I'll be sticking to the autocom modular system for a while then. I was wondering what system to fit to Nellies new bike and I think you've pretty well covered it. Will say to anyone doing bike to bike through a modular system to get the best radio you can, I've settled on a Kenwood protalk, huge range and long battery time between charges. The system on my Pan is wired into the bike but the one on the Bandit works off a battery, not had any issues with either so far but then I change the battery quite frequently.
  6. Anyone going to this http://www.bmf.co.uk/Events/pages/kelso.php

  9. Interesting from a historical point of view though
  10. Saturday 13 Dec 1.30pm at the Interfloor (used to be Gates) carpark on the A701

  15. Not sure about outlets but have a look at Akito clothing, PythonII jacket and trousers are great value (£140ish with trousers free with jacket) and as waterproof as any. Added advantage is they'll zip together with other Akito stuff all of which is good and reasonably priced.

  19. way too far for me, only time I've been to BP was with Pudsey think I'd done over 400 miles but that was criss-crossing the country. Hope it goes well and you get a good turnout If anything gets organised a bit nearer then I'm well up for it

  21. this is true
  22. I think one thing flows from the other and its just such a wonderful, friendly, supportive site, with plenty of rideouts and events going on. I think the fact that there are so many women on here (think its about 50:50) has a big part to play in the atmosphere of this site and why its so unique
  23. not sure yet, will see how the week goes
  24. Still a lot to be tested, Caberg included. Totally agree about paying for the name and stuff. To me some of the best clothing out there is Akito but peeps don't buy it cos they don't advertise and it's its not what Toseland, Rossi or whoever get paid a fortune to wear.
