  1. I have had my RST rift textile for a few months now, I rode yesterday in the rain but got a really wet crotch. The problem is that where the jacket zips to the pants, it isn't all the way round, it has a gap of about 10cm at the front which lets the rain in SO today i got one of those wind/waterproof over jackets, its slightly longer than the other one so hopefully will cure the problem. has anyone else had this trouble? and cured it? cheers james
  2. will do, probably setting off around 12ish , so could work out quite well.
  3. I'm up for going, I need to learn! just read about the demo rides, hope i pass my test, and if we go after the 30th Nov i'll be 21 so able to do some demos!!!
  4. if its nice, I'm going up to bridge with 2 mates, be good to meet up with you guys again and have a ride out. One guy is from near Burnley and the other lives in Lancaster, we were thinking of doing the ride I did last week, cos its a good round route for everyone. I'm up for doing that Hawes run though if you are going that way.
  5. Im with Korben, Get the best stuff you can afford don't skimp on saftey!
  6. just looked at the route on google maps, 95 miles no wonder my arse was numb!
  7. might be a little late for me tomorrow left about 10.30 this morning on my lonesome, went up the back roads to Lancaster and out Caton way, got up to Devils around 11.40 to see a mass of Harleys and a few trikes arrive, all wearing Satan's Slaves jackets. A quick butty and I took the A65 right through to Long Preston, where i turned off for Gisburn, did the Blako mile run which is actually called A682. From there I just followed for the A59 and turned off to Ribchester to come home though the twisties got back about 2pm had a good time even if i was on my own!
  8. anyone playing out this weekend? if anyone's out, was thinking of going up to devils and down to Rocket Centre, Blackburn, then home. going up to Lancaster, Caton, Hornby way to devils then left out of devils east and south towards Gisburn, then 'Blacko mile' then on to Rockets for a brew and a drool over some bikes, then north home to Garstang. if you're out let me know, Blakeatron if you are, let go to Hawes and scrap my plans, or do both! just to let you all know I'm still on my 125, and Ls
  9. I pulled the clutch once, lost all traction and ended up going straight on, that was the first and last time I did that I was lucky thee was a run off!
  10. was out on Tuesday and went in to a corner too fast, pulled on the front brake, it felt awful like I was going to lose the front end.
  11. I'll be out playing at the weekend as long as its dry, only on the 125 though so if Blakeatron doesn't slow you down I will!
  12. I just take my pants in a bag, doesn't help you too much though. I have seen some jeans with a small amount of protection built in, I don't think they had armour as such, more like just durable knees and ass.
  13. I thought it was good, watching Rossi line up Hayden at every corner, shame JT had the wrong set up for the race, but he qualified okay. The best bit for me was when Suzzie Perry said to Stoner: 'I think that big cheer is for Rossi, so it must be a result!'
  14. Got mine today, since Friday I forgot how comfy they were! its odd though they are euro size 44, which the box says but the box also says USA 9.5, which I thought was an 8.5 UK. I normally wear 11UK. Anyway they fit really well so it doesn't mater
  15. Suprised nobody has commented on the race yet, is that because y'all recorded it? Anyway if it is i wont type anymore.
  16. went into hein gericke today and tried a pair on today, wow they are so comfy but anyone got any day to day reveiws?
