Personally the other day I just picked someone in front to focus on and didn't let them out of my sight!

One says it's a common problem, others say on Hondas it has to be absolutely baked to go up.

Well when we got to Madeira Drive the other day it felt pretty warm but gauge still hadn't moved. Bearing in mind I had ridden it 45 mins to services, then down to the seafront which probably took an hour at a guess.

Any thoughts? I've contacted the garage I bought it from and hopefully they can sort it, I just wondered what you lot had to say on the matter.

Great idea. I do like the Bury Hill option, bit more interesting than riding up the A23 again.

Due to this thread. i'm going to get the bike restricted and obide by the law for the 2 years

and atleast i have somethnig to look forward to, after taking my restrictor out it will be like a new bike

As others have said it will invalidate your insurance so effectively you will be driving without insurance, AS WELL AS driving otherwise in accordance with your driving licence. Both of which could lead to a driving ban, a hefty fine and possibly a prison sentence.

Not to mention, if you don't have your full licence, a qualified instructor has not assessed your riding and you may be a danger to yourself and other road users. Who knows what could happen.

No, still bikeless unfortunately, probably will be for the time being - still saving up. Literally had to start from nothing and I'm not exactly minted at the moment. Well I've made £50 on ebay to start, what will that get me, the chain?

My dad said he would look into getting me insured on his cb500 when his renewal comes up next month - so who knows I might be able to make it to a meet on that some time
