  4. The bike in question was the NR500, Mick Grant and i think Freddie Spencer rode it at the British GP at Silverstone, I believe mick's crashed and caught alight on the first lap. It was then developed into the NR750 and actually raced by journalist, and then became one of the most beautiful looking road bike's looking, I nearly brought one when Bat motorcycles had 2 for sale. Its still on my bucket list to own one , but probably will never happen!!!
  5. Hi @Simon Davey, E5 fuel was started in the uk around 2010 ish!! Basically the old normal fuel with 5% ethanol, Until the arrival of E10 in Sept 2021, I believe they started labelling the pumps E5 around 2 years prior to E10 arriving. I advise anyone running Carburettors to run E5, otherwise the you may have problems with the Carbs.
  6. Hi @Davidtav, Won't be up to that area until mid September, and sometimes stop at the Rumbling Tum in Ardrishaig, so might PM and meet for coffee
  7. First 2 tag's of the year! South West England. #1 Breamore Countryside Museum. #2 Choppers Cafe, and lunch .
  8. Hi Ian, Did think about repairing it, don't mind plugging rears but not happy repairing the front!! Anyway they are OEM, having only done 1000 miles, and I wasn't overly keen on them, so trying Avons ST, as I've always used Avon's on the VFR's and SV! And I can always sell the rear at next Autojumble. Hopefully the Kwacker will like them.
  9. Well I went to go out for a ride on Friday, didn't get far, 2 miles and I picked up a front wheel puncture!!!! New tyre's on order
  10. Well I hoped he would do something, so stuck him in my team. probably be the only time I lead the league this year.
  11. Team selected, got to do better than last year!!!!
  12. Hi @Hoggs, Cheers for last years Tags, and thank you for putting together another Challenge for this year. Looking forward to this year, after a crap 2024, and hopefully will be getting some interesting weird and wonderful tags this year!!
  13. Hi @Hoggs, if you're looking for a Tag in Campbeltown, try the Linda McCartney memorial gardens in the middle of town. We did these a few years ago from our base in Aviemore, sadly we were pushed for time, and never really had chance to look around, just a suggestion
  14. Hi @Hoggs, well I was going to add another year, to 54 but someone beat me to it, so I'll stay at 53 for next year.
  15. Just managed to watch the last race on ITV last night, and hadn't seen the result, so was happy Martin won the championship. Been busy house renovation this year, so not watched a lot of the races, only just managed to not come last!!!!!! But congratulations to Jackie for the win
