  1. I had a video that had a Dalmation and thought the exact same thing lol
  2. Yay I passed even though I completely failed to click in one Hazard Perception clip. The odd thing is I was convinced I failed yet passed, the last time I was convinced I passed yet failed. I so hate that HP
  3. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and very useful advice. I'm taking the Theory Test for the second time this morning. Fingers crossed
  4. or more specifically the damned Hazard Perception test. I score 43 but 44 minium required. I have driven lots of vehicles in my life. Cars, vans, lorries, train, even a tank and I failed the poxy hazard perception test grrr. Done online practices, bought and downloaded the DVSA apps on my ipad but forgot to take my bucket full of luck apparently! Sitting it again early next month
  5. The guys. I'll pick up some summer gloves and think about winter ones when the time comes
  6. Thanks for the advice folks. Makes perfect sense. Sometimes working to a budget doesn't always work
  7. Hi all, I've begun the process of shopping for my first ever biking gear. First gloves, I like RST, many friends wear and recommend them as a brand but there are so many to choose from. I will mostly be riding in London, some very occasional motorway miles. As budget is limited i'm intially looking for one pair that will suit a variety of occasions i.e summer and winter. I've seen these, RST Raptor 2 CE Waterproof Glove - Black https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/222426, I chose black as i'm not a loud colour type of person. I have not idea wether they are suitable for city riding, all weather, cuff lengths etc so I am calling not on expert reviews but opinions of real users aka you guys. Cheers P.S sorry, no idea why there url thing didn't work properly
  8. There's free practise tests online or you can buy an app for a few quid. Once you've done a few and realised you need to click a few times on each hazard (mainly as you will probably see if before the computer decides you could have seen it...) it's easy peasy I've bought and downloaded the official DSA apps for iPad . My theory is 3 weeks from today so i'm not sweating it. I'll practice in the days running up to the test. Thanks for the advice, the app idea was a goodun
  9. I prescribe a change of instructor because the one you described sounds like a right cnut
  10. Cheers guys. Looking forward to the theory, not so much the hazard perception
  11. You are so right. At 47 I only now think i'm almost sensible enough to ride without terminating myself
  12. Passed my CBT beginning of this week to my relief. After 30 years since I last rode a bike or more specifically a moped (Suzuki FZ50 ) the morning I was more wobbly than a jelly on a bouncy castle in a strong wind. Have my theory on 9th June DAS will follow when funds are raised. This is also my first post here so hi y'all. Would have posted earlier but have been engrossed in the awesome advice on this forum
