  1. wondered if anyone would be interested in a bike swap for my kawasaki kh 125(1984) bike runs fine and is in good condition for the age just needs a little bit of tlc. any offers reply on here or send me a PM Mod edit: email removed for personal security reasons
  2. might be able to get one from a frined dthank you though mate, any suggestions if it doesnt happen to be compression?
  3. thanks for linking!! I put my finger over the spark plug hole and it was just about blowing it off, I don't actually have a compression gauge to fully test it though
  4. Hi, so about a week ago I took my kawasaki kh 125 out to work and on the way back was hit by some heavy rain, ended up having to push the bike home as it stopped starting after a while, it would run for a bit then lose power and cut out and so on until it finally stopped for good. I found the problem( or so i thought) as some water had gotten into the fuel and into the carburetor so i drained the tank and cleaned the carb and put new fuel it, the bike still wouldnt start when I kick it over and there is a ticking/knocking noise coming from the engine. I have checked all the ignition coil, air filter and spark which are all good, I'm fairly new to bikes and don't have a clue what the noise is and why it isn't starting, anyone have any idea?!? Thank you.
  5. Emptied tank and check the fuel line, there was water in the flaot bowl of the carb so cleaned it all out and put new fuel and gave it a kick over it deffinately wanted to start and kind of did but there was a weird kind of gridning noise in my engine, there is oil so I'm not really sure what it is and it didn't properly kick over/ still hasnt, any ideas what it could be??
  6. It's deffinately not the spark plug, put two new ones in thinking it was, I dunno if this means anything but my bike does smell quite rich of fuel when i kick it over
  7. thank you baloo will check and get back to you, I kind of figured it was fuel as i have a replacement cap on the tank atm and there is a very weak seal thank you for pointing me in the direction of what to do though! hahaha I'm pretty newbie so no worries, but yeah have switched it to reserve with no luck and yes there is still fuel in the tank. first time I rode the bike I had no idea what a kill switch was and that caused some problems lol
  8. Ignition coil is fine, and the bike has dried out and is still not starting. it is a carbed bike I will check if thats the case what should i do?
  9. Also checked the air filter but was dry as a bone, Thank you for the reply btw
  10. I changed the plug and gave it all a clean and sprayed with some WD40 still no luck, I'm not entirely sure I'm a bit of a newbie where would it be located? HT leads are all good though checked over the ignition system and everythign was in order, I was maybe thinking some water/dirt got into my fuel tank? would this have this kind o affect?
