  1. Just go quietly, they've never hurt me yet!
  2. They brought me a McDonalds breakfast once, but like you say, another topic.
  3. At least neither of you blow people up! Your right though Andy. It's the laws that need questioning not the way they are policed. If people want to speed in accident hotspots, known speed camera haunts (which the C&F has been for years!) then they should be prepare to reap the repurcussions! I, myself do my scratching on nice lightly used, under policed roads, where the chances of an accident are slim because there is not much to hit. (Of course I stick to the speed limits though! )
  4. I'm definitely off work but I think I may be in Wales that weekend. I'll speak to she who sometimes gets obeyed and get back to you.
  5. I haven't got an internet connection there either and the one at work won't show images! Looks like I'm stuffed! I get Eurosport at home so I'll get her indoors to sky+ it for me!
  6. When I'm at work the TV in my accomodation is fed from freeview boxes to the room so it can't do anything interactive (like the red button!)
  7. That means I can't watch it!
  8. Bugger!
  9. Is it not on BBC 3 again?
  10. This bit was a joke BTW!
  11. Find another road! Or do a track day.
  12. Making a stand will do nothing. The do-gooder life saving lobby are far too thick skinned to bow down to some bikes going slow on a road they want bikes to go slow on anyway! If you really want to raise the issue, take your number plates off and ride the cat and fiddle at your own pace. That won't stop it either, but at least you'll have fun and the bike hating general public will be justified in their opinion at last!
  13. At least you didn't have to get up for it! I'm tired now, as it peeved me so much I couldn't get back to sleep until around midnight! (up at 0445 for work! )
  14. It's definite now! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 996183.stm
  15. His bike got up and tried to carry on!
  16. I'd be wary of anything flashing that isn't an indicator, as it may be construed as an indicator by a dozy motorist, and then you are going to get pulled out on! I also think it won't be legal if its a red light, visible from the front? (In the case of the armbands)
  17. I use a snooper strabo as it can go on the car and the bike and can be bluetoothed to my phone to make a hands free kit too! The speed camera database is excellent and easy to download too! http://www.snooperuk.com/products/snooper_strabo/
  18. Unfortunately I'm stuck down here at work, so I can't get Eurosport! I'll have to watch it on BBC!
  19. Buggeration! I'm working As you can see I'm slightly peeved!
  20. I need to find out if I'm off work, but I'm very interested! Is there a deadline?
  21. You don't need the clutch in to start, but it doesn't matter if you do! As already mentioned if its not a rectifier its more than likely one of the large connectors that connect the loom to the ECU. Check there is no corrosion in those and if there is give em a good WD 40ing! (Not sure where they are on an SS I'm afraid!) Do you know anyone with a Ducati nearby that may have a rectifier you can try? They are a doddle to swap over. Just check the code on the face to make sure its the same type (I think most are the same anyway!)
  22. Funny old thing I'm working or I'd have come with ya Roy!
  23. I was duped by Akey and the other Northwood Riders! Love it on here though. Nice people, friendly banter etc
  24. Yep. Its starting it that is the hard bit! Good luck, going well so far! Let me know when you are doing some track time as I want to go again this year, its been a while!
  25. BMW are not in the provisional entry list and don't intend doing GP this year. Bizarrely Kawasaki are still on the provisional entry list as of this morning What bike is Gibernau riding this year?
