Like you have the option of putting a nose fairing on a 696!

In the 90's, maybe. Although I have used all four of my Ducati's all year round with no problems (apart from minor carb icing on the M600) They are much more reliable and more in line with Japanese bikes to run from new! I would have the 696 as a first bike. In fact I did get it's predecessor as a first bike, an M600 and it was great!

When it's raining or I've got kids/stuff to move around, I drive a 400bhp Ford Escort RS Cosworth (soon to be more! ) and a 'cough' Volvo V70R AWD. Oh and I could weld my Ducati's together, then that would be a four wheeler. (But then it would have too many cylinders! ) -
how many times dd it take you ?
cossie916 replied to gareth's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
3rd time, but I did the first two before they cancelled them for bad weather and managed a 20ft skid in torrential rain on the emergency stop on my first one! On the second one I nearly got hit by a car doing 70-80mph in a built up area and even the examiner was gutted to fail me as I was gingerly pulling out of a junction between parked cars and he appeared round a bend! I wasn't very happy to fail for that! Third one was ace! -

That'll be us reaping the fruits of our motorcycle youth training scheme then! Britain will produce great riders year on year. When it promotes a healthy pro active, non discriminate, equal terms, approach to bikers in general. (Don't hold your breath people! )
