  1. has anyone else out there got a big head? I'm having trouble finding a helmet that i can get on my head never mind one that fits nicely. i'v measured my head and its 62cm I'm looking for a carbon fibre full face or flip up. I was wondering if there any other poor bugger on here that has

the same problem and if they have any recommendations, and no p*ss taking i can't help it :D

I was having the exact same problem no helmet would fit me except the XL shark raw helmet

  2. Don't worry Maw, I have the perfect solution and you don't need to send it back;

  3. Did you screw the mixture screw all the way in till it stops ( lightly ) hopefully counting the turns

And then turn the screw out making sure you have adjusted it based on which carb you have .

    Yes I done this

  4. Flames from my exhaust cost me a fortune!!

Be greatful you got them for free..

But it's actually big flames continuously from the lower exhaust when I stop, it's not spitting it's like the bike is on fire, but it only happens when I come to a stop and the only way to get the flames out is to turn the engine off

  5. Are you 100% sure it was the idle screw you turned and not the mixture screw ?

If that is all you have done before it stopped working

I would if you could remember how much and which way you turned that screw restore it to those previous settings and see if it fires

Second picture down locates idle screw

You have turned the kill switch back on ?

Hello mate I have adjusted the screw to the manual, but now I am getting orange flames when letting go of the throttle, any advice?

  6. Do not do a thing, and you should treat this as a matter of urgency, do not do a thing until you've filmed it and uploaded that here.

How do I get a video onto here from mobile?

    Upload it to YouTube ;-)

Will do in the morning :)

  7. Well I think that pretty much confirms what has been suggested on here in various other threads - it's got to be running way too rich for that to happen.

Impressive, but hardly economical or good for the engine. The fuel will be washing oil off the bores so engine wear will go through the roof.

Plus - Mr Plod may take a dim view of you riding a mobile flamethrower. I remember a severe talking to with a tuned Celica which had a side exhaust that spat flames.

It isn't anything I have done on purpose I don't want any flames I just want it to run normal so I can ride it

  9. That's not good! did it stop once you turned bike off?

could just be overfueling, could be a lot worse things

Yes every time I turned it off the flame died

  10. Was just riding home and noticed people staring at at the bike from their cars, I looked down and there was big flames coming out the exhaust, every time I was stopping huge flames were coming out the exhausts

  11. that's the same year as mine...

pressing the black button below the Speedo should flick it from the mileage to a trip screen, a long press should reset it

I've tried that but nothing, maybe faulty :?

tbf my switch broke so maybe it's a common fault  if you find a cheap replacement switch let me know

I'll have a look on eBay and see if I can send you a link :)

  12. Is this the same one that worked after you disconnected an additional brake light?

And you'd changed the carb settings?

If you've made it too rich then popping in the exhaust sounds like unburnt fuel getting past the valves - whip the plugs out again and see what they look like.

I changed the settings and the sparks now this has started, it's one problem after another since I got this from the motorcycle shop near mine, every time I take it back to the garage I seem to have another problem about a week later, feel like they are having me over

  13. I've only got silly questions to offer:

    enough fuel in the tank?

is the fuel supply switch off?

Tank is pretty much full and I put it on reserve and still no luck
