  1. i'm on my second xr1000 and have dainese leathers xr1000 is brilliant - wind noise could be better but overall fit and all day comfort is spot on leathers feel so comfy and fit very well and i'm not as old as your dad!!! 245 for shoei with graphics good price - plain colours 240 ish usually
  2. spyke have been crash tested by my brother and he swears by them now - on his second suit. crash wasn't too bad but him and the suit went down the road under his bike and the suit was still serviceable rst are pretty good and clover if you can find them are supposed to be good quality too haave a look on the busters website - they've usually got a good range of one piece suits in their sale bit
  3. got one couple of weeks back korbs really good and easy to use my chain was pretty dry and had started to rust. one go over with the kettenmax and it was back to normal. took about 20 mins all told
  4. if we go i'll prob meet you at seaways or bridge, see what happens
  5. sounds like an idea i'm planning on plenty of riding this week depending on the weather so will keep a look out for a time for this one
  6. if i can take mine off without breaking it, anyone can and mr m - same lid as my brother wears and silver mirror looks v cool
  7. my brother uses a shoei one that fits on the helmet between the padding and shell, like a chin curtain, and swears by it. works with the insert to reduce fogging as it redirects breath down away from your visor always thought the foggy one looked a bit bulky, and have heard people moan about them before
  8. no - take em out as many times as you like. so long as you fit them properly they're fine
  9. i use mine all year too korbs. not just you that steams up my brothers iridium scratches easily, the mirror finish one is a bit less fragile
  10. def want clear pinlock with iridium, or mirror finish - darker tint than normal on the visor
  11. i've got a tinted visor with clear pinlock, best option i think. i use racevisors - very good. do official and other aftermarket visors, good range for shoei. and you get a free visor pouch
  12. as well as inserts and sprays and such, these can help too breath guard you velcro to the inside of your lid, you can get others that attach differently too. this one's a foggy respro
  13. i secure the two rings with a short bungee to stop it flying off in the wind, otherwise i don't bother
  14. like techno, i don't have spada leathers but i have a set of textiles and they're brilliant. when i bought them i had a problem with the trousers - fault in manufacturing - but that was sorted out with no messing by feridax, spada suppliers. they replaced the faulty pair with new. it may be a cheaper range but i found the back up excellent and the quality top notch on my jacket and the replacement trousers. and my brother and his girlfriend have just bought spada textiles on my recommend and love them. can't see quality or supplier back up being any different with leathers hth
  15. which one? know there's one in hull but don't know of any others
  16. bugger bugger bugger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! going back to work the week before
  17. just found out when i'm going back to work, so can be pretty sure i'll be home for this. is anyone planning on a ride to cadwell on the monday? it's a toss up - camping at cadwell all weekend or coming to show then riding down for race day - which just happens to be my birthday
  18. all sorts of stuff when you're not here i'd be happy to sponsor as i can't do it myself
  19. that's my brothers' tried and tested method for gloves and leathers. except he goes riding in the rain to get wet instead of using the shower
  20. saw this on rblr before christmas. looks like it would be good if there's a couple of nice days weather. looked at the iron butt website too. cool thing to do. was considering taking part, but i'll not be here, will be at work.
  21. we have our own weekend thing p*ss up hull show and cadwell, starts friday/sat ends monday if i'm not camping at cadwell for the weekend i'll be up for this although i'm a good girl and don't drink.........very often
  22. that's me and thee snobby then wouldn't trust my safety to any of their stuff, but the non-protective items are good.
  23. the socks are really good too
  24. are we hoping for the 15th or 29th then? if it's still on
  25. nobody else has mentioned cleaning, so.... i love the sdoc100 stuff but it's expensive. meguiars too, again expensive muc-off is effective too, all these for general fairing cleaning, and a good range of stuff for other jobs loads more makes but not tried most of them. auto glym shampoo good for plastics washing up liquid is fine too but don't use it too often - it contains abrasives and long term use can damage your paintwork. if i remember correctly white spirit good for getting crud off wheels, but wash off! and when you lube your chain try not to get lube on your discs. for obvious reasons - adjusting your chain is easy. i did it at weekend for the first time and the hardest part was trying to undo the spindle nut
