Anyone else on here going to Wootton Bassett on Mothering Sunday (14th March)?

10,000 plus bikes riding from Hllavington airfield through Wootton Bassett in memeory of our Afgan hero's

Cotswold wildlife park. Great day out.

You pay to enter Poole Quay (£1 per time) All proceeds to charity. If you want you can pay £6 to cover the whole season (and bugger the charity)

I would rather pay each time I go. I feel better in myself.

Over 7k bikes and nearly 10k people with pillions.

Only worry is either the bike or I will overheat. I think it will be ok on the motorway, but getting off at the junction and getting to Wootton Bassett will be a nightmare.

Still looking forward to showing my support. This is a good cause and will raise a lot of money for the charity.

Signed up and going. This will be good, bikers showing support for the armed forces and those that have lost their lives.

Wootton Bassett isn't to far for us. The last count was 3500 bikes attending (about 5000 people including pillions)

This will be raising £20k plus for a very good cause.

My MT-01. Now has a screen on it, as my old bones can't take the windblast anymore.

Local photographer wanted a bike for a photo shoot, so I couldn't say no.

All ages of bikes on show, club ride ins and loads of bikes turn up to look at makes it for me.

I've been a couple of times to the Shepton Mallet show and didn't think too much of it.

We did pop over to Fowlers Saturday. Cups of tea, breakfasts and a quick look at whats on offer, then home for a beer.

If you are thinking of Avebury, the pub is called the Red Lion and has a meet there every Wednesday evening during the summer. It also gets quite a few bikes in on a Sunday.

I pretty much only use my car for commuting to work the rest of the time me and my wife prefer to be on the bike. I ride all year round. Salt took its toll on the Bonnie engine cases last year so I have replaced with chrome. If there's salt on the roads I will probably be out on the MT-01.

I can cope with the cold it's the visor misting that gets me. Must remember to use that anti mist stuff I bought last year.

Apparently George White's are having a cheapy money off day ending with a fireworks display at 4:30pm on Saturday.

Hog roast, chestnuts, etc.

We are going on the Friday 5th. Hopefully by then there will be a few bargins to be had.

Who's going to the bike show this year?

It seems to be getting later each year. I think their plan is to eventually leave a year out. The next one might be January 2010!
