  1. So, I mentioned in a previous thread that things had been bad, now that things are more settled, I figured I would mention what I meant by theat.. So..here goes (wall of text incoming) GF and I split, because during training to be foster carers it became apparent that there were too many potential risks to our own kids, so I decided to not go ahead. Bear in mind, I had agreed to give it a go BEFORE she fell pregnant with our now 10 month old daughter. Because I said no, she then ignored me for a week..as in completely blanked me..uncomfortable when you live together! then suggested adopting two little girls so our daughter would have siblings her own age I said no as I don't want more kids (I have 3 sons from previous relationship) and she knows this, baby daughter was a compromise and fostering was different as you get breaks between placements With that she decided to leave and went and stayed at her mums. Then turned up a week later saying she had nowhere to go as she couldn't stay at her mums. Assuming they'd had an argument and as she's the mother of my daughter i wasn't going to see them on the streets! so I said she could stay in spare room til she gets somewhere, and later while I put baby to bed, she took 40 paracetamol downstairs, (overdose) i called an ambulance, she went in..refused treatment (and twice more) eventually accepting treatment 12 hrs later (and ONLY because we took baby in with her..she kept leaving before saying she wanted to cuddle the baby until she died (the ex-gf..not the baby)..so damage to liver etc already done...and social services removed our daughter from her care and placed her with me. She recovered, and then was admitted to a mental health unit for two weeks, before getting her own 2 bed place about 5 miles away. At first she was allowed supervised visits and all was okay, eventually the goal was unsupervised visits, then overnight stays, then our daughter eventually going back to her. Social services approved this as they didn't feel the ex is a danger to the baby, just to herself previously, and she was making very good progress. However, the second or third unsupervised visit, she refused to bring daughter home. Social services went out, and while they disapproved of her actions they said that the baby was okay and didn't appear to be in any danger so she could stay with ex. If there hadn't been a plan in place for baby to go back to ex, I would probably have been seeking legal action already, however...the ex has been generally okay about contact and daughter seems happy. So for now..things are okay. Social services keeping a close eye on her and I am too of course. My 12 yr old autistic son who lives with me was upset, though he was more upset when the ex came and took the dog than his baby sister.... Anyway that was a good few months ago now, and given myself time to settle, and realised looking back she's pretty much always been 'do it my way or I'll be a bitch to you for weeks' so I think I'm better off. Met someone new the other week, seem to be getting on well, but we'll see...If nothing else maybe I can get a good deal on a funeral in future, as she's a funeral director TL;DR : Ex left, tried to off herself, stole baby, everything okay now.
  2. More pics, went out for a short ride to Aberdare with my eldest as he was visiting. Luckily my spare helmet and jacket and gloves fit him! Ladies, if you find my son attractive, he's 20 and single
  3. For reasons that I'll put in a post in general chat sometime, I had a need for a more practical bike due to not having a car licence, and being a single dad. Need to fit more shopping etc! So I traded in the ER6N, and now have a 2008 Honda Deauville 700. Only one pic for now, I'll take more later Has the extra large pannier covers for more space and top box arriving soon. I feel so old. However, it isn't too bad to ride so can't complain really, though it's my first fully faired bike and soooo not used to the instruments and lights not turning with the bars!!!
  4. Yeah except the chance to use my bike has gone down to almost zero at the moment
  5. Yeah I was...those got sorted, I met someone new, moved to wales...been here two years now. Now of course there are even worse issues that I'll probably go into sometime but I'll wait til it's over.
  6. Sounds good to me
  7. Thanks, making music is kinda getting me through at the moment..some...issues at home :/
  8. Not sure if I ever posted any of my stuff here before...but as well as still being alive...just, I started making music again. This is the latest: https://soundcloud.com/schtufbox/over-under Thoughts?
  9. She had a sit on the bike the other day and had a big grin on her face
  10. pressed post by accident haha. Anyway, enjoying life in South Wales...interesting seeing the high amount of grass fires on the valley sides this year Nice roads for riding in the Brecons too I even got back into making music
  11. Hey, I'm still alive, mainly lurking...don't post much! New baby girl keeping me busy...8 months old now
  12. That looks kind of cool actually lol. Fidget spinners are great for keeping my autistic son occupied! (I may have a play on his fidget spinner too at times...)
  13. Found this while on hols down in New forest visiting relatives at the start of the month...bargain price so couldn't say no... Was really comfy on the ride back to Wales too, so think I'll keep it 2001 Moto Guzzi Nevada 750, I'd forgotten how much I preferred cruisers over my 2015 ER6N (which I'll be selling soon now ) http://i.imgur.com/ZTW2mX4.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WNyeB71.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yTBnjZ5.jpg
  14. Move went well, aside from on Moving day it pissed down with rain! All the way from Southampton to Perthcelyn in the rain. My boots were full of water, my gloves were wet through, but the rest was okay, as waterproofs worked Finally got internet today, and we're half unpacked. Spent around 1k in Ikea yesterday lol, new furniture and a new cooker. Locals have actually been quite friendly, though confused as to why we moved when there's not much work here, until I mention I already have a job as the company I work for (Nurse Plus) has an office in Cardiff and I just transferred. Good thing about working in Mental Health Support, there's usually plenty of work
  15. I didn't realise you were so local lol, I'm only over in Northam! Well, until August anyway..then Wales
  16. As I'm moving to Mountain Ash in August, I'd love to know any cool places to ride, decent biker friendly pubs etc, preferably in the south of wales, but not adverse to a ride to the north!
  17. Haha I have, we're moving on 2nd August. I know what I'm getting into, We'll be fine
  18. "soon"
  19. Moving to Mountain Ash, seems a nice area. Getting a 3 bed semi detached house, with 2 reception rooms, and front and rear garden....for about half the price of a 2 bed FLAT here in southampton. Would be daft not to move really!
  20. Just now realised, that I haven't posted in ages. Have lurked on and off, but not posted! Nice new forum look by the way Been a busy year , helped my mum move to Spain, and now it's my turn...not to Spain alas, but moving to Wales!
  21. Only helps if they forgot their gloves too!
  22. She was a mentalist, oh well lesson learned. It get's worse though.. Yesterday I was called into the office and suspended on full pay pending an investigation. They said it could bring the clients company name, and our company name into disrepute. Not sure how if the company names aren't mentioned, at no point in the documentary (badly edited as it is) does it mention who I work for.. Anyway, am I screwed? I mean, I was planning on leaving anyway but in a couple of months not now lol
  23. Well, it's on TV tonight lol. Not sure I like how I come across in it, but oh well! http://www.locatetv.com/tv/sex-diaries/season-1/9404138#28-Sep-2015
