I wouldn't go out without a decent pair of boots, I had an accident last October and my foot took the main impact of the car from the left, I had a broken ankle and heal, but the doctors said that if I wasn’t wearing proper boots it would have been a lot worse.

You should go, theres every sort of bike you can think of there on a nice Tuesday evening in the summer.

I live not far from Bassetts Pole, its a really big night in the Summer with hundreds of bikes arriving, sometimes has a big Police presence though so be careful.
