Myself and a couple of guys from http://www.multistrada.net are going I've been pulled 3 times since i moved up here in February and each time has just been for the hell of it. Make sure your number plates are the correct size, the baffles are in your cans (if your stupid enough to ride with them out !), the can is CE marked and you have a clear visor. All of these points will get you a 30.00 fixed penalty fine up here at the minute. Make sure you come from Betws up the Ogwen Valley to Swallow Falls as i think that's where the main meet will be

I've go a set of panniers and a tank bag on eBay at the moment. Search by user name woodlandsoloutions. Might be some use to you.

ah good the midgies will be ready for some fresh blood by then keep us posted. I assume your doing Mull o' Galloway to John o' Groats which is the longest possible route on mainland Scotland I'm a mountaineer so know all about the midges lol...that's why i'm avoiding August but if i want to get anything done this year i have to look at July or September.

Hi all, Either mid-July or Early September i'm planning on riding right up the West coast of Scotland from Dumfries and Galloway right upto John O'Groats. Details are not set in stone yet so if anyone has any advice or wants to come along for part or all of the trip give me a shout. I'll probably be camping. Matt.

Glad you both made it home ok, was good to meet you to. We headed up the A490 to Bala (a great run!!) Had a much needed brew in Bala the headed over to Cerigedrion (sp) at hit the A5 back to Capel where we split up. I got back to Penmon about 6:30pm 210 miles and 7 hours after i left home Hope to do it again soon, I imagine Jim and Derek are proper pissed by now !!
