  1. Yes this is because i only have cbt and im only 16, i do trust myself, i trust myself so much im confident i could ride a much bigger bike responsibly and carefully, however i dont want to get involved with police and legal issues. I have called a few lexmoto dealers and all of them told me not to worry about it, they said its just how the hunter is, its hard to restrict it and its fully legal, especially that it does around 30mph on a flat. Anyone can shed any light on this? Are they correct?
  2. Hi Guys, i need help in restricting my lexmoto hunter to 30mph, the previous owner told me that he changed the cdi and exhaust on it to make it faster, I on the other hand dont want to but need it restricted . The problem is that i bought a new standard cdi for the bike, but it still does over 30mph. I cant restrict it in the throttle as its a geared bike, will it help if i buy a new exhaust that is restricted? Any other ways in which i can restrict it? Thanks in advance
  3. Loud enough, thanks , can you help me out in figuring out why a proper extractor is going to Be better than the one i bought? Also i need to restrict the bike to 30mph, i tried to buy a new standard cdi because the previous owner put a racing one on, but no help, does it need to be titled as a restricted cdi? Any other ways j can restrict it? Its hard because its a geared bike so cant restrict it in the throttle, will a restricted exhaust work?
  4. Thanks for the replies, I will try to look for a manual, i have managed to find the parts i needed, but how on earth do i take the flywheel off? It doesnt move even with a gear puller on it. . 2 days ago i noticed my starter not starting the engine... turns out its the starter motor clutch behind the FLYWHEEL. Which is not going anywhere anytime soon, so now i have a stuck flywheel with an oil leak and a faulty starter clutch behind it. I was thinking to cut the flywheel off and just order a new one. Please help. (Lexmoto )
  5. Hi, guys i managed to buy a lexmoto hunter yesterday. I rode it back home for 15 miles and when i got home i noticed an oil leak, it was coming from the stator casing. I took it off and there was oil there (not much) , im not sure if there is supposed to be oil as there is a screw from the top (as if to fill up) however there is also a hole on the bottom for liquids to escape (factory). Please help, also i wanted to change the oil in the engine and unscrewed one bolt from underneath the engine... a spring came out with the bolt and a few ml of oil (not much at all) after screwing this back in i noticed that there is a second bolt.... so my question is why are there 2 bolts? I thought that maybe the one i unscrewed was for a filter, but there was no filter. Plus why would only a bit of oil pour out. Thanks for any messages in advance, i will try to read them asap
  6. Hi guys, i checked and cleaned all of the connections possible on the bike and the problem still occurs, is there anything else i can try and do? The battery is brand new
  7. Thanks, i was thinking it would be something to do with the connections, i didnt get much time today but i will surely check out the connections tomorrow, i have already checked the ground wires but i guess its one of the other ones. Do you know why it maybe jumping up and down? Is it also a electric problem or is that to do with the carburettor?
  8. I will try to make it work without it its more of a challenge and a puzzle that way. Thanks anyways
  9. Hi guys, i have a few slight problems with my 50cc, i put it together after buying it in pieces and im having a problem with the revs and idling. So after i worked out that i had a leak in the vacuum from the manifold to the carb, after i fixed that by blocking the pipe with a screw it now has ALOT more power, but it dies on low revs even after messing with the carb settings for a bit. It also has a problem when i rev it the revs on the dadh drop completely to 0 but the bike is revving, the revs also fluctuate on the dash when i let go of the throttle. Thanks for any help in advance Any help is appreciated.
  10. Thats what this forum is for right? To gain knowledge... now you know and probably wont forget
  11. Slowbusa, i wasnt completely sure how 2 stroke engines work until i saw the animation on this page. It explains everything even without words. But still has alot written to explain it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-stroke_engine
  12. I felt a bit dumb for a minute then, i thought i did something wrong dont worry though
  13. Wow, i left a reply here on sunday but i guess it didnt go through . First of all i knew that it was a piaggio engine but everytime i was looking for a piaggio at least 1 thing was different from mine... The starter motor seems to have fixed itself as it doesnt make the knocking sound anymore As for the oil, its a 2 stroke so it mixes oil with fuel, before i started the bike i changed the 2 stroke oil out completely and even put some in the fuel itself because it takes a while for it to get from the pump to the carb and then the combustion chamber, ive done this because i just changed the piston on it and i wanted it to run as smooth as possible for the first few times. I will probably be posting more posts and pics of this project. Thanks guys
  14. Thanks for the nice posts, i have been into fixing cars since i was 8 years old with my dad and have fixed many cars even myself since then, and im transfering my knowledge to motorbikes now with the help of the internet and the knowledge i already have Yes i am planning to ride it when i turn 16 (3 months time) I dont have a pic of the actual starter motor but i managed to find a one on ebay that is the same as mine, but it doesnt show the bit that expands and attaches to the variator, i will try to workout if its the starter motor or the bit tomorrow. Also when i finish secondary school then im going to college to train for mechanics and engineering, as that is what i love doing. Im also trying to get the bike fully road legal and add a black and red vinyl wrap like the one on the picture because mine is blue right now. Thanks for the help i really appreciate the kind words. As for the manual i dont think i will need one anymore because the bike is running now and i only need to put the last couple of pieces together, i will think about it if i get more problems, thanks anyways
  15. Ah thanks guys, i just came a from the garage and got the bike running, i took the whole carb off and gave it a good clean, i also noticed that on the cables of the electric choke there was a load of oil, i cleaned that out and now the bike started without a problem... could that have been a cause for the fuel to not get into the cylinder?? I now have a problem with the starter motor i took the back plate from the belt off and gave the starter motor bit a good clean because it was knocking before, when i cleaned it today it stopped but after i started and stopped the bike, the same thing is now happening . Do i need to replace the whole starter motor or just the end that goes on the variator? Or is it possible to fix this issue?
