Its a 2018 bike. Could be but all tested fine at the service a couple of weeks ago. I know a lot can change in 2 weeks but I am hoping that it's still essentially sound and I have just asked too much on my commute from the battery

When it was home time my bike wouldn't start. Lights came on but not enough battery power to start the bike. I have heated grips but they are wired in to come on with the ignition so I can't have left them on. I am using the heated grips a lot and a sat nav, is it possible that they are drawing more power than the stator is returning? I can't think why the battery was Flat.

Yeah, but the fault was the intercom, which I won't be using as I ride on my own. I'm hoping that it pairs with my phone and GPS and I can sell on the other, fully working headset

I have a Nolan B1.4 headset, this is quite old, single channel but fits my Nolan helmet. I can only suspect that you have a dual channel bluetooth headset as both TomTom and me agree that single channel headsets can be paired up in one of two configurations, neither of which allows full functionality

No you can't', [mention]raesewell[/mention], not on the tomtom rider 550. You can get gps instructions in your ear as the GPS is paired to the headset. The phone is paired to the GPS and it doesn't pass calls through to the headset. It tells you on the GPS screen that someone is calling but you cannot take the call on the headset. I've linked to tomtom telling you(and me) just this and I can confirm it through testing

More money for a bluetooth headset with 2 channels that I never knew I needed. Because neither of the options for single channel are really viable.

So finally took the plunge and bought an overpriced gps, a TomTom rider 550. And it never really dawned on me that to use gps and phone features, at the same time, I'd need a dual channel bluetooth headset. I thought the tomtom did something smart with the phone but it doesn't. Having just a conventional single channel bluetooth headset, I can set up the pairing to either have gps directions but not take calls, or take calls but not Get directions. Be warned. Does anyone have a dual channel bluetooth headset they would recommend?

My own experience is that the expensive modern synthetic lubes are far more durable than cheaper gear oil. Of these, the muc off ones are ok, so get my vote. I can't think of a better one out of those I have tried. They are far from being perfect but no chain lube is I don't think you can marinate your chain unless you have a very old one as modern chains have o and x rings

There are. And believe me it doesn't make it easier. I think there are a good few people who are never going to understand relays, splicing into a shared ground, tapping into a switched live, etc etc. I look down below the dash on the bike and there is a mass of wires, all sheathed in black, some wrapped together. And it's just a mass of wires. Given that some like me can't seem to learn this, the only useful video is one for the exact model of bike I own showing what to do, and probably sparing the details of why. Motorcycle manufacturers should take the blame, ultimately, it's ridiculous that we even have to ask.

£30 to get someone else to do it. Its a deal.

Hi I want to fit a GPS device and rather than mess with the fairing I can get easy access to the battery by simply taking off the seat. Seems there is room for a fuzeblock type thingy. You know how challenged I am by mechanicing. I saw an Innov powerhub 2 that looks neat and tidy and cheaper than a fuzeblock but I can't work out how you connect devices to it. Rather than having connections to put the device wires into, it's got its own wires hanging out. Do you cut and splice these to each device that you add? And how does a single, shared ground wire work? Do you tap into the same ground wire with the ground wire from each device?? https://innovv.co.uk/products/powerhub/ Shall I just pay extra for the fuzeblock?
