1. I can’t really tell where the main event is. Is it here - Visit IWM Duxford, Churchill War Rooms and HMS Belfast for D-day 75 in June 2019? Might well be worth a looksee.
2. The great ocean road I’m putting that on the list Worth the effort?
3. On a night shift I once had a cup of Hospital coffee. I’m not sure it is coffee. If someone said it was oxtail I wouldn’t have questioned it!
4. You jammy b******d
5. I never tended to wander about with a mug of tea, no-one did there just wasn’t time (usually tea was consumed cold in between pts) but if I had of wandered around I certainly wouldn’t have shared my drink with a patient. From a cross infection point of view it’s the patient who’s at greatest risk accepting a cup of tea from germy hospital staff! I found it insulting, you weren’t allowed off the ward to have a break or have a drink at your desk- other than water because somehow some liquids are a cross infection risks and others arent I could perform all sorts of procedures on pts requiring strict aseptic technique and make pts a cup of tea but wasn’t trusted with a cup of tea for myself! But then we are talking about a trust that removed the toilet seats.... You can understand how a person would form a long and loving relationship with a the kind and iconic teasmade
6. I had one in the 90’s when I was a student nurse The shifts started early and there were no breaks or time to drink tea. You got 20mins for lunch max so if you didn’t have to queue for the kettle you could have one then Sleep was the priority so there wasn’t time to wait for a cup of tea to cool down in the morning before you started...unless someone made if for you, enter the reliable trusty and highly loveable teasmade. Still not allowed to drink tea or coffee on the ward now, apparently it’s a cross infection risk Nice drink of plastics tasting water out of a mini sized disposable cup anyone?
7. Along with “I’m just being honest” to justify whatever unpleasant bitchy thing they’ve just said.
8. One that goes very well with the patronising overtones of “obviously” is “If you think about it” as if you’re to stupid or lazy to have thought about it. Or how about the ancient management speak that is still used by useless managers- “think outside the box” grrrrrr.
9. Not another one from the Guardian? More Daily Express me thinks
10. It begs the question whats said when something happens that is ‘literally awesome’ what words are you supposed to use, what if something is oh my god amazing/awesome and they’ve literally already been used up on piffle? What are you going to say then? “Thankyou very much that’s completely mediocre”
11. My favourite is “oh really” Which I use myself often in the head nodding form of “oh right” when I’m not listening at all
12. I hate “Indeed” there’s a pomposity that requires the electric chair
13. We covered 540miles in a day, try doing that 2 up also carrying camping gear for a 2 weeks hols total 2,300miles in 2 weeks Tenacious

15. Yep I’m on the nuke it side of things.
16. Trying to relive being in hospital and having someone answer my every beck and call but Alexa still won't make me a cup of coffee I’d say that’s a massive fail- if the choice was between someone making the tea or switching the lights on n off the formers the winner every time. Damn I’ll even manually control my own heating if someone else makes the tea.
17. He’s going to report back on the success of differing methods over a trial period...... not that we’re short on entertainment......
18. You really are a conundrum. Hardy in attitude but too soft for camping

20. I'm trying to be lazy and just want to tell my car what music to play rather than waste energy pressing buttons Now that I understand
21. Chrissb6 What lovely pics. Looks devine, I’m a huge fan of verdant greenery. Before seeing those I wouldn’t have even considered Norway as a destination, when I think of Norway I just think ‘cold’ I’ve gone from having no charging points on my bike to having 4 and I can’t say I’ve ever used more than 2! That trailer looks like it requires some handling?!
22. Monk on a mobike is a thing I think, maybe he started it!
23. Ill never pay you back but you would have the satisfaction of having funded an incredible motorcycle collection... pretty please https://www.cycleworld.com/coolest-motorcycles-from-bonhams-and-mecum-auctions?dom=rss-default&src=syn
24. Someone recently posted an article from MCN (that I can’t find) about the r ninet spokes coming loose and needing to be sorted by bmw at service. Can’t remember the year or codes but if your not buying from a bmw dealer I’d check it’s been dealt with- it wasn’t dangerous or worthy of a recall though. Have you test ridden the racer? It’s possibly not the best fit for the longer legged- unless flexible. They sell a lot of peg lowering kits for it! That said I love the way the racer looks
