OK, I've bought a set of clocks from an RRV...for the princely sum of...... wait for it..........25 whole pooonds plus 6 postage, yes I know, bargain So I'll let you know how I get on, might even be here in the morning Colin....I know its easy enough to convert; I have to do it in my beetle, but if its an easy fix then I would like to do it...hence asking a bit of advice
-
I can get some and looking at a set with the same equivalent mileage, just wondering if it is a simple swap...I know my luck you see...
-
It has a speedo overlay, but you cant see it at night I'm just a bit anal about stuff like that, and thought it I can just change for mph clocks its a n easy fix Thanks for the link, I'll have a look

HI guys As some of you may know my blade is an import I was wondering if it was possible to just swap the clocks over to mph ones or are there other mods needed to be done also ? Anyone any ideas ?

3rd time for me .....1st I failed due to not keeping with flow of traffic( basically not going fast enough)....I'd had my bike stolen 2 days before test date and borrowed one from a local bike shop, picked it up an hour before test...speedo was broken, so ended up being overcautious with speed !!! 2nd.....got cancelled .....was told when I got there...great eh 3rd....flying colours, although we didnt quite have the same system as now -

Helmet-£5 from a boot sale
cleedubber replied to Bill_on_a_bike's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
QB has hit the nail on the head for me Although I know 95% of you would never even entertain buying a helmet second hand, but I personaly think the main issue with this ,is knowing its history, I have personaly seen a helmet dropped from the top of the stairs(by accident of course) all the way down on a carpeted floor and not showing a single mark...yet I heard the crack it made when it first impacted....so there was no way it could ever be worn again, kind of worrying really. Also, if he cant be bothered to even go out and try and get a job, then I have little sympathy for his lack of funds in buying a new one, I'm a great believer that if you want something bad enough, you will work hard enough to make it happen -
HULL MOTOR SHOW 2009 – SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST - UPDATE PG9
cleedubber replied to a topic in Biking events
Thats the usual situation at any car/bike show techno, purely on a Health and Safety front, as obviously lots of people are walking about etc The public liability insurance is a nightmare at these things so they have to be strict, although its much easier with a bike as surely you can just manually wheel it out -
The Shoei and Arai are pretty old, and most def will never be worn again, mind you neither will the Simpson, just think it looks cool I would say the Shoei is at least 15/16 years old, got it to match my ZXR750H2

Here ya go....an ickle Arai Quantam in Kawasaki custom paint missing as I've lent it to a friend so she can go out on her brothers bike http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2841.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2843.jpg This is my fave helmet of all time ,original Doohan Rep, way old but could never get rid http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2842.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2846.jpg Crazy Simpson Bandit, only wore this once, swapped it with a mate for one of my old Shoei's many years ago http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2845.jpg

I have a bit of a collection of lids, now there's a suprise; Arai's, Shoei, there is even a Simpson Bandit in the loft somewhere Here is my current fave though, might take a pic of all the others, just so you can see how much of a magpie i am (but I dont steal them ) AGV GP Pro...this thing is as light as a feather, and sooo comfy, think it matches my leathers and the blade well too http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2828.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2819.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2818.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2824.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/borab5nja/Fireblade/DSCF2829.jpg
