  1. Would be an awesome letter to send, I wonder what his reply would be? Also, do you have a link to this near fatal crash at the test center?
  2. Well done mate. I still find myself in neutral sometimes when changing from first to second and wonder why its revving its bollox off! Just make sure you give it a good kick up when changing!!
  3. Mine are about 18 months old and have never been washed (exept when it pees down). The only issue I have with them is they go really stiff after being wet, will a bit of oil soften them up a bit? Maybe furniture polish?
  4. I have the pop down glasses in my HJC Scratch but I find when I have em down if I am riding at speed the lever on the top whistles like a bast*rd so I tend not to use it!
  5. I had the same issue with my HG jacket, It was about a year old but they still took it back and re-stiched it for me! Did you get em off the tinternet or from a shop? I wouldn't bother trying to fix it yourself, presumably you paid a fair amount for em so it shouldn't be down to you to repair em!!
  6. How did you get a black visor with the helmet? I went to get one last week but was told at HG they weren't allowed to sell em anymore?!? Let us know how the air thingys work out for you, I might be in the market for a new lid soon and would be fairly interested in one of these, I love gimmiks and gadgets me.......
  7. Half an hour from Chester to North Wales? Blimey mate, are you walking it? Nope, just being carefull not to get caught by the Welsh gustapo.......
  8. the real badasses have a crash on the first attempt and then mail it on the second!!
  9. Well done mate! Now get out and have some fun!
  10. Makes sence. The new coolant may be better than the old one so is doing a better job, could just have been the age of the old coolant and after how everlong they might end up both being about the same!
  11. I live in Chester, where abouts are you moving to? Road Tourque is also a Cestrian as is PPF (but he is gone now) Its great, only takes 30 mins to get into north Wales and that is taking the scenic route (can be done quicker on boring roads!) Also there are plenty of nice roads going the otherway towards Cheshire, the Cat and Fiddle is only an hour away!
  12. I came off on my mod1, doing the swerve..... proper f**ked the bike up, all I could think was thank christ it wasn't mine?!
  13. same for me when I did my CBT, I couldn't get the hang of using the clutch so I had to go back for a half day. only said £40 for the second session as it was only a mornings training, I assume they still need to cover their costs, insurance, bike hire and the hourly rate for the instructors time! don't let it get you down, go back and nail it, then you will feel much better and more importantly be safe when you get out on your own! imagine how bad an instructor would feel if he gave you a pass and days later you were injured or worse as a result of inadequate training!!
  14. its always good to be prepared but don't worry about this! the instructor will tell you all you need to know before even thinking about getting you on the road! go have fun in the morning on a car park, get a taste for the biking bug then have a good lunch, get on the road and let the smile go from ear to ear!!! good luck!
  15. I'm only a few hours away, and Wales is the best area near me for biking so let me know with a little bit of advance warning and I will be able to blast down to meet up with you guys!!
  16. I have seen 2 differnet resprol CBR's today and a few 125 versions over the last few weeks. I haven't seen any of the new Daytonas knockin about tho so I have voted for that. And it looks sweeeeeet.......
  17. Went and picked up my US20 today, I like it. Only fitted it as a tail pack for now as I need to stick the velcro under the seat and was only out for lunch, will put some pics up tomorrow when I have it all fitted. Only problem is I can't see how I can attach the tank part to the radiator so will have to loop it round the head stock, might take a bit of swearing and stamping but I have the day off so so fiddle about then!
  18. Well done mate, You got a "big" bike waiting for you at home? Or is it the long wait to get one?? Get out and have some fun!!
  19. Righty ho, I went and ordered the Kriga 20 litre pack with the tank bag converter so it can be used either on the tail or the tank. £79.99 for both so not too bad, could've got it a bit cheaper online but they give a good service at my local HG and I would prefer to give them my wonga than some faceless internet company that will eventually out all shops out of business. I also tried to order a black visor but was told by the manager there he could'nt legally sell me one unless I had a race licence, looks like ill have to get that online...........
  20. A very well done mate! How good did it feel to pull the L plates off your 125? Get out and have some fun!
  21. Well done mate, now get out there and have some much erned fun!!
  22. that was my first thought too, just wanted to check. just had another look at it now and the haze is gone.
  23. hi ho all! just got back from a quick trip into town and was outside trimming down the kick board for the kitchen counter and I noticed a haze coming off one of the drain pipes under my engine. When I put my finger under it, it goes to liquid that smells like petrol, is this just the stuff left in the engine seeping out as its supposed to or is it a leak?
  24. If you start at 9 then you will easily be finished by 5, if not then your ass will wish you had finished by then. Learning school bkies aren't the most comfy after 5-6 hours. Just tell your instructor you have an appointment at 5, I am sure he can sort something out for you!!
  25. Shit, worng forum.................
