  1. Stretch it with your nob first, it should just slide in then...........
  2. Cheers for all the replies. Gonna go down on wednesday before I buy one and see what they have in stock, might see if they'll let me fit one and see how it feels....
  3. Might get flamed for this, but...............................................
  4. So tank bags don't get in the way too much or put loads of weight on the front? I think I will end up gettin one but I don't want to buy one and find it makes a difference to the ride.
  5. its in Chester mate, done mine there and so did a few others on here! I used Arrow. I think pricing is pretty standard round here, about 600 for lessons bike hire and test fees. plus CBT and theory if you haven't already done em! if you do the swerve no the right, see if any of my knee skin is still there.....
  6. Interesting you ay about putting heavy things in the tailpack, is this because having the added weight on the tank throws your balance off?
  7. Go and get a copy of "A twist of the wrist 2" it will explain everything you need to know. I still have reasonably big chicken strips but my confidence ans technique improved a hell of a lot after watching that!
  8. Were you once a womble? That is a good bodge mate! Is the law the same as with a car for taking the clocks off? It has to be done by an approved center to stop clocking the miles back?
  9. Cheers for the link to the Kreiga site. Not very good as far as pics go or general info but I'll have a look on some other sites for some! I think I am leaning towards a tank bag but I am just wondering how much they affect riding position or handling? I think I'll probably get one with a GPS holder in it so I can use the car one I have, saves messing around with mounts and waterproofing!!
  10. For the purposes of a test I was told, 1) mirror 2) life saver 3) signal 4) life saver 5) Turn..... As you can see there will be differnet methods so best bet is to ask your instructor.
  11. The last life saver you do should be the way you will be turning. I always (well pretty much) do 2 on each shoulder when approaching and then a last before I go! Are you asking from a passing of MOD 2 point of veiw or just a general question on how people do it? I think there might be quite a few different answers is all, so if its for passing a test ask your instructor....
  12. Hey all! I am looking to buy myself some luggage storage and was wondering which was the best way to go. I have about £100 (HG vouchers) to spend but don't really know what would be the best, I might need to start riding to work and back so will need to be able to take work clothes in them whilst wearing my PPE. I have pretty much ruled hard luggage ie top boxes as these will need a frame and probably cost more than I have to spend. Do tank bags affect handling or anything like that? Can I still take a pillion if I get a tail bag? Answers on a postcard please! Thakns in advance
  13. Yeah, tested. As in on purpose i'm sure.....
  14. I did my CBT in my jeans, but only coz I was waiting for my leather pants to come into stock, everything was fine, but I did'nt come off. The time I did come off I was only wearing jeans and now my knees are just big scars. I go ATGATT now....
  15. I don't understand why the DVLA did'nt just tow the car? Is it just done on a random car park? Unlucky mate, had one cancelled coz of the ice. Sucks coz you gott have the nerves again...... Good luck for next time.
  16. I've got the amour in my draggin jeans, it comes out easily enough without having to take the pants off! good if you are out and about for the day and don't want to walk around fully kitted up! they are boot cut too so your boots can't be seen, except the shoe of it obviously...
  17. If you do you have to post the pic on here....
  18. Go to the site in his sig Blake, The fiddle is an awesome run, I have only done it twice (and pretty damn slow!) but its all tight S bends down the pennines with big enough straights between them to get well upto 60-70. My mates I go with fly down it like madmen and then stop at the end with massive grins.....
  19. not too quid what the code is but I know my yammy is called ocean depth!
  20. well done mate! I bet your Dad is doin a few laps of the track in the sky and beaming with smiles for you I can't wait till I have a son and can show him the wonders of the motorbiking world!!
  21. I'll bring mine up too Nice one Robjam Mine needs a clean too............. Well done, I saw on FB this morning you were doing it today!
  22. It must be fun to be an examiner, mumbling about things and looking like your not impressed and then when you examee looks like they are at breaking point just tell em they've passed! Well done too! its pissing it down with rain here today, I hope you have better weather to get out and enjoy life in the no L plates lane!!
  23. Ive got em, mine came with velcro sticky things for the knee pads and the hip protectors and the just stick on, the hip ones don't feel the most secure nd may move about in a nasty off but the knee ones feel nice and secure. As far as Draggin VS Leather, I thing leather is still better. Iknow you cant wear Draggin on a track but maybe thats just an old rule that needs to be changed or maybe its because at more than 100mph kevlar jeans just aren't as good?
  24. Well done, Now the easy part, MOD 2 and then the real fun begins!!
