  1. Did my Auto 50cc to 125 geared conversion today. Was windy and wet as all hell. Went out for a little road ride and my instructor was dammed near blown off his CB1000. He said he hadn't come so close to dropping it in a long time. Saw a motorway bridge ahead of me and said a little prayer. Damm near blown off when the crosswind hit me. Rain doesn't bother me.
  2. Literally salute. If your out on a new bike on a lovely day and your feeling particularly  ish' (that is a word, i looked it up) then salute another biker. Chances are they'll see the funny side of it.
  3. Remove some of the *fnarr brap brap* from the genepool through no fault of anyones? (except said pondlife for buying a second-hand helmet on eBay? Can't see a thing wrong TBH.
  4. 9 MINORS?!?! Do it again boychild. I'll get back to you with my colossal list of minors, majors and injuries when I do mine. Anyway, 'gratz and get down here and take me on the back sometime.
  5. I will all the time when I'm on a semi respectable bike. I've only had one or two nods being on a 50cc scoot' (made my bloody day though). And a wave from a guy on a ZX6R Ninja as he passed me. Made my week.
  6. I have a 31mph, 50cc because, like you, I wanted to get around / see friends / get to (part-time) job without paying £1.55 to go 2 miles into town, one way, every day. I wish to the Gods that I never bought it and had saved up for a 125. As has been stated, AFAIK, once you de-restrict a scoot you are driving (riding) otherwise in accordance with a licence, and if you crash and claim on your insurance, the second they see your scoot is de-restricted, they will leg it and you won't see a penny of the insurance. But anyway, if you are hell-bent on getting a scoot to de-restrict and spend enough money to buy a great 125 on making it go faster, then the Yamaha Aerox is reputedly the best for tweeking and making it go fast. Your looking at about 73mph downhill.
  7. Yes on erratic / two-hatish driving from cagers. Many just seem to think just because I'm on a 50cc moped I am somehow not allowed to filter.
  8. I'm not in the slightest an electrical buff, but i guess it's just a simple on/off switch routed through a timer.
  9. That's what she said.
  10. £160 gloves? They better save your ass (hands then) one day. Couldn't they put heels on the boots to make you look a bit taller?
  11. Nice one. No more U-turn practice or pressure.
  12. 42 on the first and 40 on the second. Bah.
  13. CBF to re-host pics / save onto my photobucket / whatever. Mine: http://www.fmhelmets.co.uk/helmets/road ... unner.html
