  1. The coils are favourite, it is a weak point on older Suzuki's.

    Leaking oil...

More like he didn't want to do it, get it fixed, it will only get worse. Just topping it up is no real solution.

    alarm location?

If you drill the rear mudguard just put some silicon around the screws as you tighten them up to form a watertight seal, or a rubber washer (plenty in your local diy store). Personally I'd put it under the seat somewhere too as opposed to fitting it behind a fairing panel, its safer under the seat.

    RG Gamma 125

Forget the 400cc engine idea, its not even worth thinking about. As for taking parts from other bikes like the Aprilia, not good either, more hasle than its worth. My advice would be to break the Suzuki for spares, sell them on ebay, then save the cash and put it towards something else, preferably a runner with tax and test.
  5. Great racing, and the wss race was incredible too.
  6. Don't over do the copper grease it can cause the piston seals to rot, red rubber grease is better.
  7. The original rubber hoses are only meant to last a few years and are recommended to be replaced every few years by the manufacturers. Regarding the squealing I would fit the shims, the pads could be old and have glazed too, once they glaze the heat build causes the pad to go hard, which compounds the problem. Personally if the problem persists I'd change them for genuine Suzuki pads, I've just recently gone back to them myself, and I'm impressed with their performance, they seem to be making a real effort to try and stop people using aftermarket pads.
  8. I'm sure I've seen someone on ebay making stainless steel pins to replace the rotting originals. Does your bike have braided hoses fitted? If you feel the brakes are somewhat lacking they are a good investment, and don't cost the earth.
  9. You'll need to rejet as Frank says, how come you can't get an airfilter for it? What age and make is it?
  10. Try petseal, may be just the fix you're after.... http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/5011 ... rs/Petseal

    Motobike... Waw!

Sounds like a broken wire/bad earth, be wary of putting larger capacity fuses in.
  12. That will be remembered as one of this season's classic races in years to come, they both deserved the win, Rossi, just and I mean just, got it, but Lorenzo will have his day.
  13. A dynojet kit and if you want too, a K&N should be able to sort it, first thing is take the bike for a run and then check the plugs see if its running lean.
  14. Its a steep learning curve mate, no-one said it was easy either!!
  15. Its the flapper valve in the airbox, they can be removed, its a popular mod on a Hayabusa and the TL's as Stu has said, not sure about a cbf600 though, it controls the airflow into the airbox, closes at low revs and opens at higher revs, can be a restriction at high revs too, hence removing them on the bigger bikes.
  16. Check the valve clearances, and have the carbs balanced.
  17. The manufacturers spend an ever increasing percentage of their development costs of exhaust technology, flow characteristics, noise levels, performance, emissions etc, do you seriously think for one millisecond you could actually better their efforts? Thought not. Leave well alone.
  18. Theres plenty of second hand engines around, just use a bit of common sense when buying, did you buy the bike privately or from a dealer?
  19. It sounds like the 'float' for a fuel guage
  20. You could go the whole hog and remove the rest of the standard subframe, then choose a suitable alternative. Many bikes have a bolt on subframe, all you would have to do is get your subframe of chose and fabricate/weld some suitable brackets to the frame. Then you just need the plastics/seats etc and you've something different. Any Fireblade/GSXR/later R1, the list is endless. Just a suggestion, but might give you an idea or two.
  21. Lol, not strictly true tbh, they don't like you taking the mickey, but sometimes if you're on the gas you can't help but pull wheelies.
  22. Some great pictures, when the weathers good in Scotland its one of the most beautiful places there is, its just unfortunate that 80% of the time it pee's it down! Glen Coe is just jaw-dropping awesome, and Fort William too, great place for a night out.
