I went down there today and got invited to join a group of bikers, so i went across and moved my scooter then i got invited to the bikers bar in whitley bay just up from 42nd street(club) i then got to join them heading to the fish quay at north shields, really enjoyed it. I have built abit more confidence and will hopfully meet more people when i go down.

  10. Heya mate, took it in for a service and got the valves adjusted working spot on now! Cherers for the advice anyway
  11. Ah i really didn't think about that mate, however there really is no shops near by me that would sell helmets. I can see your point of view i meen the helmet i have at the minute is a XL however it nearly tears my lugs off when taking it off.
  12. I've been looking for a helmet as i am currently using my dads old one which has been dropped so it's stupid if i continue using it so when payday arrives i will most problys be buying this helmet http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0320139503 Really like the look of it.
  13. it needs looking at so your idle speed can be normal, do you have a camera? can you remove the plug and take a photo of the plug number and the head of it (Sooty Bit), could be someones changed the plug for a colder one?? Well when i took it to the shop he changed the spark plug it was really rusty and he changed it now he assured me that was the problem but it still runs the same.
  14. Well i have the idle set quite high because when the engines cold it still won't keep running but once it's warm the back wheel spins quite fast. Maybes it's just one of those things.
  15. does it start up okay, when cold and just run lumpy.. if so the choke sounds okay, How old is the bike, does it still have warranty, if so nip it back to the dealer to have a look at.. It's 08, i bought it off Ebay. The guy i bought it off said it always has this problem. Here is what usally happens it starts up ok then it will die if i pull up to a junction then it's really hard to start then after that it starts to run a bit better.
  16. If its just when cold I would inspect the choke.. the coil generally sits under the petrol tank literally above the plug.. If the bike runs fine when warm, then its not the coil. the coil generates the spark, so id suggest that your problem is with fuel and mixture.. does it have a manual choke? and do you leave it on choke long enough to warm fully.? No, it's Autochoked!
  17. you would need to confirm the problem, if the problem is with the coil, then this will fix it if not, you will have two coils but still a problem.. How could i confirm the problem is the coil? Also where is it located? It's ok once it has warmed up just can become a pain.
  18. Hi, was just wondering if there is any local moped/scooter riders. Cheers, Dale.
  19. Hi guys, i am having trouble with my BT125T-12 it keeps cutting at idle it has to have had a good ride to actually not cut, now i was looking at one of these http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/produc ... ts_id=3162 do you think this could fix the problem i sometimes have trouble starting the bike. Many thanks, Dale.

  21. Sorry about the so undetailed posts. Here is a much better write up Right, i booked my CBT to be done with Blyth CBT Centre http://blythcbtcentre.com/index.html I woke up in the morning at 5.30 AM so i could prepare my body for the day ahead! Well 7.40AM arrived and it was time to walk down to the Car park where the CBT was held at i wasn't to nervous. I arrived at the Car park and Dereks wife got me to fill some documentation out. Another lad called Gary arrived aswell, it appeared to only be us two Gary had bought his own bike and had it deliverd to the Car Park. I just rented a Moped out for a extra 20 pound. Well Derek started to tell us about the Bike/Moped and us some questions. Then it moved onto just driving in a straight line and moving the bike around then learned about braking. I got to drive around in circles while Derek helped Gary understand the gears etc a bit more but Gary grabbed his front brake a bit to heavy and he ended up dropping the bike After doing turns and emergency stops we went out on the road and i really enjoyed it, when i got ahead of the group i got a bit nervous but Gary and Derek soon caught up. I really enjoyed the day and Derek is a very pleasent guy to take your CBT with he made me feel very comfortable. Cheers, Dale.
