  1. One of my main problems is i don't know how to fix the bags to the bike? I don't see how brackets work and there doesn't seem to be any for my bike
  2. See the back end is quite low, which is why i'm unsure universal ones would fit http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/download/file.php?id=5268 Don't have no friends and most bikers round here are guys with harleys that are of curse properly fixed to there bike

    Battery Leaking

Oh dear, make sure you don't get it in your eye!!
  6. It's typical mate, i would of snapped your hand off. Would of came in great for when using my GPS!!
  7. So you are saying the battery isn't getting charged when you ride? Have you tryed changing the rectifier or looking at the generator? Cheers, i just had this problem if it's the same problem.
  8. Just to let everyone know i've found the problem. Went to see if the generator cable was in fact disconnected and in a way....It was. I don't know what's caused it but where the generator cable connects just after there a wire has burned out and melted a couple of other wires, disconnected another one and melted a couple of my connectors together i have a feeling it's going to cost more then £80 to fix now.
  9. He did show me the old one yes, the old one did not have connections on which is why i didn't change it myself as i would have to cut the connector off the new rectifier and join the cables manually. My new rectifier has a connector on it and he sorted my wiring out so it didn't need manually joining and im not able to change the rectifier myself now due to the scooter wiring now having a connector on it.
  10. It's just had a new rectifier fitted, so unless i've been unlucky with a second bad one then it's not that. plus another thing was i put my lock next to where my generator wire is and i wonder if when i've been undoing my lock if i have disconnected the generator i will check tomorrow.
  11. He replaced the battery the other day aswell, he has always said it maybe the generator but he said its easier to start with the rectifier, when i made that post i was angry but ive came round now, because i rode home and that took and hour and everything seemed ok and he even checked the voltage etc, but it wasnt until yesterday when after my run to light house and tryed to start it before work that i realised i was back to sqaure one. I dont mind spending the money because i get alot of joy out of it.
  12. I'll take another photo today and post it up. No fluids coming out but I could just about get my fingernail into the top of it. Cut your nail? Problem solved
  13. Bus fares. Edited post above also.
  14. I cant afford to get rid of it at the moment! If i get rid of this its going to cost me 80 pound a month. If i could afford a proper make 125 i would of bought one a long time ago. Cost me 360. This is the only main problem. Cost 50 pound for him to try sort the electrics out first time, rectifier and new battery. The new generator is going to cost 80 including fitting. The other 100 pound got spent wear and tear like center stand mucking up and new back wheel, this is my first problem with it apart from that very reliable never gave me no problems.
  15. Hi mate, nope not at all. Went for a ride this morning so it must be the generator or stator whatever it's called which i guess it's going to go into the garage for as its to much hassle for me especially when i don't have the tools. Already replaced battery and rectifier.
  16. Hi, i have a problem with my scooter. I had it in for repairs and it's cost me £245 with this problem and a couple of others. So my problem i was having was my battery wasn't charging when riding so i lost my lights and couldn't use electric start. Took it in and the guy said he'll change the rectifier so went to pick it up yesterday and rode home it was still messed up, so took it straight back and came home with a new battery in this time. Charged it up over night put it in the scooter, went for a ride this morning. Everything seems ok, got home went to start my engine with the electric start and my fuel guage dropped let go of starter and fuel gauge pops back up. However my lights indicators and horn are ok so it seems, so i'm starting to worry if it's my starter motor that is pulling to many amps or something out the battery, i'm going to kick it tomorrow and go for a ride without using my electric start if i have no problems, would you think that means there is a problem with the electric starter motor? When i phoned the guy up today he said he thinks it's the generator however i think he's just taking me for a ride and would want another £80 quid for part and fitting. Which i think it's ridiculous. So if the lights die tomorrow, does that mean i should change the generator, but if they are ok do you think i should like into a new starter motor. Once again, i am terrible at explaining things please ask. I really do appriciate any help on this subject. If you are going to slag Chinese bikes off please pm me and not spam my topic with your hate. Cheers guys, Dale.
  17. Hi, i have joined a group for chinese scooters however when i ask i get the reply "125s are not restricted) I don't mind the 40MPH just got me wondering when i got it serviced and the guy mentioned it. Yeah i have enjoyed it so far, got this scooter for commuter but i've been bit by the bug. I am trying to save up for a 125 known make bike or scooter.. I don't think my dad is going to sell me his suzuki maurader(spelling?) no more as i've just put mine in for repair which he didn't mention a thing about his bike nor did he say just scrap it and i'll sell you my bike instead...Which my mam said he would sell it to me for £300 pound but i've just had to pull out £245 for some repairs on the scooter. So i guess it's back to looking at the bike market for me.
  18. It's called the BT125T-12 as far as i know and it looks exactly like the first picture.
  19. Hi mate, yeah it is a 4 Stroke It got serviced last year after i just got it, the guy who done the servicing who deals specially in Chinese scooters/bikes said he thought it was a 50CC. He said it wasn't until he looked at the tax disc he saw that it was a 125CC and even then he had to size up one of his 125cc Carbs to mine to see it was a 125, he says he doesn't understand why it's so slow and that the clocks only go up to 50 for, he showed me that all his 125s all have bigger clocks then what mine does (No he didn't try to sell me one) When i start to get near 50, downhill and wind on my scooter it will start to jerk every now and then...Which is how i can tell i'm going to make it to the 50MPH mark. EDIT: Not due a MOT till sometime next year (still within 3 years)
  20. Hi everyone, i have a question about my Baotian BT125T-12 scooter the clocks it has on only go up to 50MPH and the scooter its self only does 40MPH surely even if it is Chinese i didn't think it would go this slow and at least have bigger clocks. I was expecting about 50mph from it. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience Please don't slag Chinese scooters off in this topic, please make your own if you do. Thanks guys and girls.
  21. Right, i'm totally confused now. I have snapped my mounting bracket as perviously discussed pic attached. I just thought if i could use a hanging exhaust bracket it would be a easier fix, however i don't think i'll be able to fit it on my scooter. I would buy the normal mounting bracket but i just don't really trust that guy, if a deal was done through ebay then i'd happily pay up.
  22. Why does everything have to stump me for, i doubt my scooter will have a place for the hanging bracket to go?
  23. How do hanging exhaust brackets work? Cheers,
  24. Hi, i'm really useless with bikes. Here is the bit i need,
