  1. Hi mate, yeah it is a 4 Stroke

It got serviced last year after i just got it, the guy who done the servicing who deals specially in Chinese scooters/bikes said he thought it was a 50CC. He said it wasn't until he looked at the tax disc he saw that it was a 125CC and even then he had to size up one of his 125cc Carbs to mine to see it was a 125, he says he doesn't understand why it's so slow and that the clocks only go up to 50 for, he showed me that all his 125s all have bigger clocks then what mine does (No he didn't try to sell me one)

When i start to get near 50, downhill and wind on my scooter it will start to jerk every now and then...Which is how i can tell i'm going to make it to the 50MPH mark.

EDIT: Not due a MOT till sometime next year (still within 3 years)

  2. Hi everyone, i have a question about my Baotian BT125T-12 scooter the clocks it has on only go up to 50MPH and the scooter its self only does 40MPH surely even if it is Chinese i didn't think it would go this slow and at least have bigger clocks. I was expecting about 50mph from it. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience

Please don't slag Chinese scooters off in this topic, please make your own if you do.

    Thanks guys and girls.

  3. Right, i'm totally confused now.

I have snapped my mounting bracket as perviously discussed pic attached.

I just thought if i could use a hanging exhaust bracket it would be a easier fix, however i don't think i'll be able to fit it on my scooter. I would buy the normal mounting bracket but i just don't really trust that guy, if a deal was done through ebay then i'd happily pay up.

  4. Just got in contact with the ex-owner he sent me the link of where he got the exhaust system from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SCOOTER-EXHAUST-G ... 286.c0.m14

So hopfully he does spare parts.

Well he does spare parts for it and it's 15 pound but this was the email he sent me.

    Hi

    best regards Karl

    I don't know if i trust him.

  5. Well went for a ride out on my babes today, however i noticed that my bracket for the exhaust has snapped. I don't know how, it isn't the original exhaust and is a import - WT Motor parts p&p however i cannot get no information at all. The bracket size is about 335mm If you know where i can find one please help me :(

  6. I've only just started going down to the lighthouse(yesterday) i'm sure i've saw you heading down there couple of times and have nodded. I went down there today and got invited to join a group of bikers, so i went across and moved my scooter then i got invited to the bikers bar in whitley bay just up from 42nd street(club) i then got to join them heading to the fish quay at north shields, really enjoyed it. I have built abit more confidence and will hopfully meet more people when i go down.

  7. Hiya mate, this is a picture of it.

    Cheers,

    Dale.

  8. Just wondering feel I have to ask even tho I probably know the answer but have you tried one on in a shop?

I would always reccomend buying one that you have tried on and know that fits as its more important than simply finding one you like.

Even down to the fact that the same style helmet that says the same size as one you have tried before may even fit differently, i have found this to be the case.

Ah i really didn't think about that mate, however there really is no shops near by me that would sell helmets. I can see your point of view i meen the helmet i have at the minute is a XL however it nearly tears my lugs off when taking it off.

  9. Well i have the idle set quite high because when the engines cold it still won't keep running but once it's warm the back wheel spins quite fast.

Maybes it's just one of those things.

it needs looking at so your idle speed can be normal, do you have a camera?

can you remove the plug and take a photo of the plug number and the head of it (Sooty Bit), could be someones changed the plug for a colder one??

Well when i took it to the shop he changed the spark plug it was really rusty and he changed it now he assured me that was the problem but it still runs the same.

  10. No, it's Autochoked!

does it start up okay, when cold and just run lumpy.. if so the choke sounds okay,

How old is the bike, does it still have warranty, if so nip it back to the dealer to have a look at..

It's 08, i bought it off Ebay. The guy i bought it off said it always has this problem. Here is what usally happens it starts up ok then it will die if i pull up to a junction then it's really hard to start then after that it starts to run a bit better.

  11. How could i confirm the problem is the coil? Also where is it located?

It's ok once it has warmed up just can become a pain.

If its just when cold I would inspect the choke..

the coil generally sits under the petrol tank literally above the plug..

If the bike runs fine when warm, then its not the coil. the coil generates the spark, so id suggest that your problem is with fuel and mixture..

does it have a manual choke? and do you leave it on choke long enough to warm fully.?

    No, it's Autochoked!

  12. Hi guys, i am having trouble with my BT125T-12 it keeps cutting at idle it has to have had a good ride to actually not cut, now i was looking at one of these http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/produc ... ts_id=3162 do you think this could fix the problem i sometimes have trouble starting the bike.

    Many thanks,

    Dale.

you would need to confirm the problem, if the problem is with the coil, then this will fix it if not, you will have two coils but still a problem..

How could i confirm the problem is the coil? Also where is it located?

It's ok once it has warmed up just can become a pain.
