  1. Not saying it did. You said if you don't want to know don't come on a bike forum. I was talking about not giving it away in general, not this thread specifically.
  2. Not taking the piss as I've seen it confused on other forums, but you are pressing the mode button on the left are you? And not the engine mapping mode button (the starter button). If not then sounds like the buttons broken. If your bikes still under warranty then it will be covered. At least it doesn't stop you riding it.
  3. No need if the title doesn't give it away. Some people might not get to watch it for a few days, should they have to avoid the forum for that time too when giving away the result can be easily avoided.
  4. Make sure the screen isn't displaying the total mileage (ODO) or it won't work. Change to trip and then try. 2 - 3 second press is enough. It will reset all the values, not just the trip mileage. i.e. avg fuel, max speed, time (not the clock).
  5. So apart from choking and not having jaws like and ANT its a thumbs up for chewing gum on tests (I can take a minor if it stops me doing something stupid) If it works Ill let you know Good luck! Just remember, no blowing bubbles with your helmet on.
  6. Are you David coulthard? I've heard you get a minor for chewing gum on mod 2, unless it's hubba bubba.
  7. Direct Access is the name given to doing your test on a big bike and being able to ride anything once you have passed. You can do your training how you like. A 3,4,5 day course where the start finish times will be dependant on the training school you use. Or you could do weekly 1,2 hour, half day lessons. It's up to you.
  8. Bear in mind while reading cobbz's guide that you can do the DAS via individual lessons, you don't have to do it as a block course.
  9. It will be on live on multiscreen on the red button.
  10. I guess my application has been rejected sigh
  11. How cheap do you mean? RST do a set for 300. I have there textiles and the're really good.
  12. Moto2 is definitely more exiting than gp at the moment. Just watched silverstone on iplayer. Redding was awesome, gutted for him that he didn't get on the podium. I think spies is doing pretty well. He's disadvantaged in that a lot of the circuits are new to him. But at silverstone where it was new for everyone, he showed he could run near the front. He's not on a factory bike either remember. WSB isn't bad. The problem is the Aprilia is getting better and better and it's starting to look like Biaggi is going to run away with it. Hopefully Haslam can find some more speed from his bike and fight back.
  13. Moto gp race is on BBC 3 or BBC 2 live. The 125 and moto2 races are live too, but you have to press the red button to get multiscreen. Also if you miss any of the races they are on iplayer for a week afterwards. ITV 4 has BSB highlights. You can pay £2.50 a month to watch eurosport online which has WSB.
  14. 125, moto2, and moto gp races are on iplayer in full the same day of the race.
  15. I watch. I also noticed there were never any threads discussing the races and goings on, so assumed there was little interest. I'm also not that knowledgeable so don't have a whole lot to say. Will join in though.
  16. There was an article in MCN the other week where they calculated (roughly) the affect of sticking the leg out as an air brake. I can't remember the exact figures but it concluded that there was enough effect for it to be worthwhile. In motorcross they actually plant their inside leg on the ground as they turn so it's different. They also keep their bodies upright and lean the bike, the opposite of what a road racer does. I think supermoto racers hang the leg out more like what the moto gp riders do.
  17. + 1 for the Respro Foggy. Makes my helmet slightly tighter when putting it on/taking it off, but once it's on I can't tell it's there. Works flawlessly too. Also never had an issue with it while the visor is up. Never used the anti fog sprays on my helmet, but have used them in my paintball mask. They didn't work for me.
  18. How can it cause a spike? and isn't the ECU protected by a fuse? Not disagreeing, just trying to understand.
  19. Can't see how jump starting can cause any damage. All your doing is using a different battery to start the bike. Are you confusing it with bump starting, where you run with the bike in gear, jump on and dump the clutch. I suppose this could do some damage (not sure what), although I would imagine you would have to do it a hell of a lot before it caused any damage. I had to bump my bike a few times the other day. Turns out the nut and bolt holding the power cable to the starter motor had rusted and no current was getting through.
  20. I have the Kriega 10 and 20. Quick to attach and remove, and to also remove the straps when your not using any. Also have the 5 permanently on my tank for wallet, phone, keys etc. Awesome kit.
  21. Chin or Shin? You make a good point about Lorenzo. It's a shame as I think you're right, after seeing him in the first few races I think he would of gone on to win the title no matter what.
  22. TOPGEAR topgearmotorbikes.co.uk started down at north row school, (down Roose, before Coast Rd) I went down for a watch, seemed all good, decent intructors.. Cheers. My mates going to be doing his soon. I did mine with BB and wasn't impressed at all.
