Assuming your properties are residential, how about selling them to increase the stock available to first time buyers and then investing the proceeds in something that is beneficial to yourself and the economy.

If you're getting 30 quids worth for every tenner then that's 3:1. So they would have to drop by 66% before you lost any of your original investment. Doesn't sound very likely, but I don't know the company. What's the restrictions on you selling them.? There must be something to stop you putting in a grand and then flogging them all for 3k straight away.

I recently got an asus transformer and love it. Not as quick as an ipad 2 but quick enough. The problem with ios devices is the restrictive software.

What would be the most effective means of reducing speeding?
oldgreg01 replied to Throttled's topic in Motorbike Chat
You think you should ban someone who's not allowed to drive anyways? And put 6 points on a licence they haven't got? No insurance should be a much bigger punishment. Too many would risk it if that was all they got. A 6 month ban should do it. And prison for a second offence. I'm all for stopping speeders in the towns and around schools, I stick to the limits here, but out on the main roads there's no way I'm sticking to 60. Or 70 on the motorway. -
Sorry to hear it mate. Like fozzie says, how did they get your money without your pin?
-
No. Lock them up for life and make prison hell. I wonder how many people are in favour of it as they think prison is easy nowadays.

direct access age changing!
oldgreg01 replied to Swiss Rolls's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
The stories in MCN attacking the new test, often quoting MAG, always talked about the drop in numbers taking the test since it was introduced -

It was a rhetorical question but you're spot on. They're more concerned with keeping up the number of people taking their test. -

It's harsh on those that would be sensible though. And if they are serious about reducing KSI's then why have they just made the test easier again. -
It confused Lorenzo. Did you seen him miss his pit garage in practise. He had to go round and do another lap. They should of kept his crew kitted out in blue.

Questions About Beginner gear.
oldgreg01 replied to a topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Some, all, or none of these may be important to you when buying your helmet: Is it quiet (wind noise) Does it have removable padding for easy cleaning Good air vents for summer Replacement visor costs Ease of removing visors Can it take a pinlock insert (stops fogging) Probably missed something off the list. Fit is definitely the most important though. For other gear if you're commuting then you will need waterproof kit if your planning on riding in all weather. Also will you have separate summer and winter kit or removable thermal linings. One thing I've noticed with starting early is it can be cold in the morning and red hot going home, so having removable layers is helpful. You can also just use extra layers underneath of course. -
lol. Same boots, same problem. Keep meaning to try a bit of vaseline or something on the plastic bits at the back but not got round to it yet.

I would say push down and out slightly, to push your knee into the tank. And not too hard. -

If push with your right hand you will go right, not left Sit on your bike with the front wheel straight forward, then push with your right hand and the wheel will turn to the left. Very true. But ride along and do it and the bike will tip and then turn right. Counter steering lesson number 1. Sounds weird, but its true. Check out the numerous you tube vids on counter steering. Or for the best explanation, get hold of a copy of twist of the wrist 2. -

That's how I did them last year, May and September. You will come away with lots to work on for September. Have fun. -

A mate and I have done the i2i courses. Well worth the money. Learnt loads and Tom the instructor is great. By the end of the second day when you start to put all you have learnt together you feel way more comfortable on the bike. We have the i2i track day coming up in a couple of weeks too. -

The twist of the wrist 2 DVD pretty much shows that body weight and peg steering are myths. It's more likely that as your uncomfortable with rights your subcontiously stopping the bars moving where they want to with your arms. By locking on to the tank your loosening your grip on the bars and letting the bars do their stuff. -
New Tyres, taking it easy for the first 100 miles
oldgreg01 replied to donhuzayfa's topic in Motorbike Chat
I've always wondered about this. I don't ride anywhere near the limits of the tyres, so I wonder how much easier I need to take it, if at all. But then I see things like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9zNUPDmnz4 Hell it's funny, but how gutted would you be. -
You should be able to get 59 out of an SV easily. Are you riding in too high a gear? Having to open the throttle more to compensate? A lot depends on the type or riding you do. If you do a lot of town riding in start stop traffic your mpg will come right down. I can get 55 out of my cbr without trying. I'm no Rossi but I don't hang about either. But then all my riding is out on flowing A roads, apart from the 1 minute it takes me to get out of town.
