Thanks everyone. Turns out there is a cap. Problem solved.

Hi Everyone I'm new to bikes and I've got a lot to learn, both riding and maintenance. This morning one of my mirrors vibrated loose on a dual carriageway. Pulled over and managed to rotate it until it tightened enough to get me home. How do you tighten these mirrors fully. I've attached a photo but not sure if it will upload. Thanks John
