did my bike test first, couple of times round some cones then the road part, passed first time, took my car test 2 months later, had 9 lessons and passed first time, did my HGV class one 4 years after that, had a 5 day course and passed first time. Now been driving HGV's for 23 years.

you shouldnt need to re-jet your bike if you have only changed the can, even with the k+n filter you should be ok, balancing the carbs is a 5 minute job so shouldn't be much.

if you have an ali rad make sure the coolant is for ali rads as the others will knacker your rad fast. I got mine from Halfrauds as they was the cheapest.

I got some Akita boots from J&S in Brum, £40, best boots I ever brought, comfy from the start, totally waterproof as well.

you have got a soft link on the chain not a split link, just a thought.

Givi is owned by the son of the founder and Kappa is owned by the daughter, I have used Kappa monolock for the last 3 years and not had any problems.

check your manual first before putting copper slip on them all, 3 of my casing bolts need loctite as there is an oil way behind them.

good mirrors, work well but you mught need longer bolts if you have bar ends as well.

Leathers should be a minimum of 1.6mm thick and the stitching should be a maximum of 8 stitches and a minimum of 6 stitches to the inch, any more than 8 and it will like perforation any less than 6 wont be strong enough. And just so you know I worked for Interstate leathers for 4 years as a machinst and leather cutter.

you can also use parafin to clean the discs as it will evaporate, if you have got any on your pads throw them away and get new ones, if they get wet you might find they don't work.

if your valves are noisy it means they are opening, I'd be more worried if they are quiet as it means they are shut.

if your clutch was knackered you would still be able to change gears up and down. Like the others my thoughts would be a broke selector, BUT looking at the photo if that is the bottom of the engine where the oil filter is your crank case is knackered and that is either new crank cases, (expensive and big job) or secondhand engine (not quite as expensive) only trouble with a secondhand engine is you won't know what sort of state it is without stripping it.

yep use it on the car as well, might not give it a full charge if you have a diesel car as they tend to have a heavy duty battery.
