  1. what you need on that are some leather saddle bags,as its a bit of a cruiser type isnt it?im not sure some blinged up oxford panniers would suit it tbh...im sure theres some on ebay
  2. yeah braided,its all down too the rubber expanding with use over time,thats why the braided lines are a good and saftey mod to do.but i was just wondering if it was worth fitting to my 07 bandit 650 with 16000 miles on it,if not the money is better in my pocket
  3. i must admit for some reason i do like kelso,its the little one of the shows,and really nowt to shout about,but its just really friendly,and maybe its because the roads round there are brlliant,and the ride outs not bad too

So when is the time right to fit aftermarket brake lines to a bike,ive been informed you wouldnt notice any difference with bikes less than 3 years old,they would be just a cosmetic upgrade,which offer no benefit to braking. is it so then after the 3 year mark you start to see a difference with expansion to the original lines and thus aftermarket ones are deemed to be a worthwhile upgrade are there other manufacturers other than HEL? thnak you

I see they have moved the tailend bmf from peterborough to the lincolnshire show ground for 2010,any reasons for this as they still have the bmf there earlier in the year. how does lincolnshire showground differ from peterbourough?is it bigger n better?or smaller,or they phasing it out all together?
  6. ahahah there you are has it had a service?all the simple things add up,if 4 or 5 things arent spot on it will all add up and maybe this is what the problem is. check oil/filter/chain/plugs and so on and mybe it will solve the problem if not,then i dunno cos im thick with mechanics

  8. look at the thickness of the hide,a minimum you should get is 1.1 mil thick,but buy the thickest you can afford.but there is also kangaroo skin to consider too,this is lighter and just as strong,but is more expensive too. Get a 2 piece with a full wrap round zip,any less you wont be allowed on a track,but this is better than a 1 piece while riding the roads,as you can take the jacket off

Just a few pointers on times and mileage. as you pointed out it might have to be a 5 day trip,and i would have to agree with you,minimum 4 days especially if you want to do the west coast down from durness,which is the very top left hand corner of scotland.but that road is really worth doing i would say if you can get half way up scotland and stop the night there,then upto john ogroats and across to durness the next day and then do the west coast day 3 and then take it from there,but day 3 is worth doing all the little roads and covering less mileage and getting a real taste of the backroads of scotland,and day 4 either coming inland and seeing the sights or trundling back home. mileage for this sort of trip will be around 1000 miles if you do the coastal roads and around 800 if your coming inland...hope this helps

  16. try youth hostels,there really cheap, i stayed in one just outside john ogroats,and for the price,it was good,we then travelled down the west coast and stopped in another just befor lochcarron and this was ace,top notch,but its one hell of a run,if you follow the coast road like we did but its one brilliant ride,ill post up my route...give me 5 mins to find it

  18. on a cg 125?how many shocks does it have?im presuming two....but i would say this is a scale 5 on a 1 too 10 scoreso i would check a hyanes manual first and make sure you have the right tools for the job,cos if you screw this up then you wont be riding the thing til its fixed
  19. listen mate,i love it,absolutley love haggling for gear, i once paid £8 for 3 boxer shorts that were for sale at a tenner,stimpulating they were xl and he wouldnt shift em cos it was 10 mins befor closing lol so he let em go for £8 if anyone wants a bolshy twat to ask for discount...pm me and ill do my best and it doesnt matter where or what it is ill ask,its a challenge for me
  20. 1.a jacket 2.boots 3.leather trousers 4.gloves 5.helmet 6.leathers 1/2 piece and why would you pay this???? my limits are below 1.no more than £150 2.£160 3.£100 4.£40 5.£200 6.£250 i guess this puts me at the bargain end of biking gear,but i tend to shop a the bmf and i haggle hard,i wait till the sunday 3 pm of the last bmf and shop big for the year after,so i tend to get more for what i pay,take my touring jacket for instance,belive it or not i paid £20 for it at the bmf but it was retailing for £229 on the internet from the SAME shop i was well impressed,and its the best jacket ive ever owned,and for some reason cars seem to move over quicker too http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae247/fazerboy1969/myjacket.jpg and its still retailing for £175 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TEKNIC-FREEWAY-WA ... 3caa3a83a1 told ya i could haggle
