just an off shoot of your post... i hadnt realised they had released a new bandit??? but what gets me with suzuki is how many guises they try and sell the bandit in!wtf?? ive just had a look on the net and it aint no different then what they got apart from a redisgned nose this bike will probably be no better than the gt they sell allready

if your only doing a couple of days,then yorkshire and the north york moors are ace then over to wales and have a trundel and back home. but for digs,you really cant beat the youth hostels,for £15 a night they are ace,meet some interesting people and pretty comfy too,well some are

ive exactly the same model,so you got taste all i use is a givi 45 ltr top box and a tank bag with a sandwich box in it for my documents and wallet and phone and such,so i can take them with me when i walk about,and this has seen me round the coast of the uk/france/spain/scotland without any problems,its a case of learning what you need to take and what you dont need.this may im of to spain for 12 days with exactly the same set up. the arms and a top box for your model should set you back around £200 maximum brand new,but ebay should be able to get this down to around £140 if your lucky

might do this again this year..did it when madness tribute was on,it was brilliant,allthough i missed work on the monday as i was still pissedas a fart when they came to clean the room,and my fred flinstone outfit was covered in beer and chilli!!how that happen??

other than steam??appearing from under the tank is there any other worries about the bike?if not i wouldnt worry,starting bikes sometimes is troublesome with weather and temp problems due to the engine been open the the elements,but i wouldnt worry but if it does blow up tecno edited this thread to read like this with the wink

this is what i did in 2008 but i did it in summer and that was hard enough,took us 14 days too,great journey tho,learnt alot about myself

why buy what is essential a cheap bike only to upgrade it to a semi cheap bike?because what you will spend on buying the parts,you could have spent on buying the honda in the first place dont be daft,save your money and run about on the bike you have got for the time being,your a classic example of wanting to climb the motorbike ladder by getting bigger and better stuff,so when you have passed your test,px the chinese copy for a 600 and get it restricted and you will have 4/5 years of happiness on it ive seen it, heard it, and experienced it and i can see it happening to you and to many others but please please please save your money,cos if you do what your planning its money just thrown away

si..... if you ever go to the bmf you will be able to get decent kit,haggle for it and get it for next to nowt compared to shop prices i reckon for a good helmet/boots/2 piece leathers/gloves you should be able to get for £400 no more

i thort people who rode with flip up helmets were really old,and boring,then i bought one from the bmf for next to nowt,and its frikin ace my caberg is brlliant and i love riding round with the helmet up and internal visor down did 3000 miles like that in 2008 and only ate 2 flies the whole time

think im gonna do a little ride around the coast of scotland from yorkshire this year and stop in nice little cheap bnb's as i go. probably 5/7 days max. maybe in august time, ive done it befor,(and the rest of the uk coast too )and loved it,found some really off the beaten track roads,and some fantastic views,and i want to do it again,so just an idea at the moment,but im ace at ideas that happen

boy that thread title sounds really sad dont it but why i ask is i would like to do one,but would like a more indepth insight of what happens on the day befor i jump in and do my first one i did go to a cadwell with vicki about 2 seasons ago,but i felt a bit out on a limb as i really didnt get involved that much other than eating her sandwhiches and drink lol so if you need an inept spanner boy,or are just quite happy to help and advise me thru your day i would be happy to bless you with my company muchos gracious
