No me either alas, too cold to ride to them and too skint to hire a bike or van. Still getting towbar fitted next week and got all winter to save up for trackbike & trailer. Next year.....

FE are doing Silverstone soon, there may not be many left this year as the TDOs seem to be winding down a bit for winter.

I got the ND4, don't look like M&S jeans but not the best looking. Handier than wearing textiles/leathers though. And yea the armor does add an inch or two around the arse! Might get some black ones to wear to work after winter. The new draggin jeans look pretty good, not a fan of the old ones with the horizontal seams but the next gen don't have them. Shame they cost £200....

Not sure if you can use your own bike on that Haslam day. CSS offer the choice. Another thing with hiring to consider is the excess can be huge. Lots of the track days will have instructors around who are happy to take you out for a session or two, you'd also get a lot more time on track than with a school but it wouldn't be as structured. Personally I found having the time out on track at my own pace for a few hours worked better than sitting in a classroom but each to their own... Phil have you got sliders fitted to the panniers?

Good idea, like the sound of that Spoke to some guys recently who had done it and it was a nice intro to trackdays but they thought CSS might be a bit better as you get more time on track. I think it'd be a fun half day and costs half the price of CSS.

Brought some hood kevlar jeans with armor and they're really handy for popping to the shops, better protected than I am in my textiles (no hip armor in those).

Ha ha did mine in Gloucester which has a roundabout right outside the DSA centre on the industrial estate that just has one exit into the DSA. Coming back in I had a total brain fart when he said "park up in the test centre" and rode straight across it without slowing, looking over shoulder, indicating or anything. Was convinced he'd fail me for that until I heard the magic words. How did you get on Sean & banana?

I think the tip was suggested somewhere on this website, I found doing lifesavers in the car helped me get used to observations. I still do them now, good to check the blind spot!

The Revit one I ended up with was 54 euro, in plain terms fairly lanky & skinny (although not quite as skinny as I should be )

I tried some RST leathers and they came up really tight, I could hardly get them on. Going up a few sizes meant it was baggy in all the wrong places for me (lanky bugger). Alpinestars fitted fine, ended up with Revit which fitted very nicely. Maybe worth trying a few different makes. They are supposed to be snug, but not cutting off the blood supply

Soon as payday is here it's getting booked Have ordered SBK09 for the xbox to try and help learn the track a bit beforehand. I'm liking the sound of the track, but not the bit about the gravel lumps. I'll be needing to ride home at the end!

There's a couple of hottrax days there next month, I was gonna sign up for one but got to replace some kit first and not sure it'll be here in time.

Trespass are flogging lightweight waterproof jackets for £15 at the mo, picked one up at the weekend and it fits nicely under the seat on my CBR. I doubt it's as good as a proper oversuit but should do me alright

I've done CBT (&DAS) recently, similar situation with about 14 years driving experience and no biking. I was a bit worried about the gears but on the day I found them fairly straightforward and easy to work. Hope you enjoy it

The school I used breaks the course up over a few weeks incase additional training is needed or you fail mod1. I couldn't do solid weeks off work anyway so suited me nicely! Takes months to get a mod2 booking here at the moment so probably not a good idea to try and do it in a week.

Looks awesome, we were up at Glen Coe at the weekend but was in the car (stayed on the right side of the road so it wasn't me!). Our mates who live up there were suprised at how good the weather was so you picked the right weekend for it Would love to take the bike up but unfortunately it's a 7 hour drive from here.
