Right, i took my 2006 c1 for a service and MOT on Thursday and assumed all was well. Had a decent ride on Thurday as well.
Took the bike out today and as i was shifting about to join the A40 the chain popped off!
Called out the RAC and was told the bolt that holds the wheel back to keep the chain tight and keep the wheel ligned up properly was not tightened properly so the chaine became slack and popped off. The RAC guy re-fitted the chain and i took it for a ride and all seems well apart from the fact that my carbon fibre rear hugger is pretty banged up! Not pleased about that.
If anything the chain is now probably a little too tight. I am goign to call the guy to have him look over the bike again to make sure all is well and the chain is the right tension. The mechanic was recommended by a forum member and seemed like a top bloke. Mistakes can happen but i now have a fookeed rear hugger and need him to look at my bike again!
What would you do?

I Was initially told it would be a 6 week wait but the school I was with call centres every day to take cancelations slots.
As a result I waited 2 weeks but cod have been one week.
I was also told as soon as April kicks in it gets mental! I started in jan when no one wants to be riding so there were fewer people learning. The competition for slots will be a LOT higher now :0(

well done for passing. Bring on mod 2!!!
I found this nerve racking but a bit easier as you are just riding on the roads as you would drive your car.
Good luck.

Me and Stuno1 were fitering through standstill traffic, people standing out of their cars on the m25 it was that bad.
Then we saw what could have been us. A gxsr was cut in half on the sharp edge of a transit door.
A spine tingling moment, just a reminder that drivers don't know we exist.
The main event was about 500 yards further on, someone having their car roof cut off and being lifted out.
The biker was on his back but talking to the paramedic so best wishes to him.
Have a safe summer everyone...........
Bit mental. Tip from this is that if traffic is stopped filter slowly as people are likely to get out of their cars!!!!
As always look as far ahead as possible so you can see any incidents starting to develop, stay far enough behind vans, trucks etc (that you cant see past) as you dont want to have to rely on their reactions to tell you what is happening ahead. etc etc etc

As above. Can't fail the test on them though. Even if you get them all wrong! lol
Google it and you will get the questions and appropriate answers.

Maybe you could recommend a good pub?

Rode part of the route with Mark today and there is a lot of exploring to be done! Some really good roads (when the cars fook off! lol) some great looking pubs to.
We need to make a few trips and explore properly. It's a tough job but someone has to do it!
Look forward to meeting more people on Sunday.

Make sure it has all the armour you want in it and that it is a snug fit.
Also, ask the sales people as they will offer advice depending on what you are looking for and your budget :0)
