I've seen an advert in TWO mag that take group bookings, is everyone ok with that long leg on the first day????? If anybody is coming up from further south than Leeds you're welcome to stop over the night here.

  7. Got an email from the guy who was in MCN last week! He say's he doesn't mind us using his routes, so there you go! We can adapt to suit. Still looking at doing it over three days can you all let me know if you're up for this??? Please pm me and let me know please. Then I think we ought to get our heads together and sort some camping/accomodation out and sponsorship forms etc.
  8. I know I just thought it would be "the Right thing" to ask his permission. 8)
  9. Just emailed this guy to see if we can "nick" his routes! This fella has put a lot of work into this trip and it would help us immensley http://www.thrape.fsnet.co.uk/jogle1000forcruk/

  12. Oooo1 turning out to be quite a gathering innit?
  13. Me and Techno too. Did you manage to see this weeks MCN and the write up on some guys that did it last year for a cancer charity? They did it over 3 days and didn't hit a motorway! Any of you up for that or is time an issue?? Your thoughts please. The guy who organised it has a website and A. We could log on and just nick his same route and change parts of it if we want or B. Get in touch with the guy and pick his brain?

  15. Right then I'll see you there probably nearer 1 'cos I forgot I've got football training for the kids Saturday morning. I'll bring a map! Anyone else fancy a brew at Squires?
  16. What about dinnertimeish? Between 12.30-13.00 up at squires? Or do you fancy anywhere different? Oh and I'll probably have my nephew on the back He's been nagging since November that I've never taken him on the back of the Duke, he was mortified when I got rid, but he is equally as keen to have a ride on the back of the KTM now! He's not a bad lad just had his 17th birthday the other day and I said I'd take him out at the weekend if the weather was ok.
  17. this weekend supposed to be good weather wise, temperature into double figures Does anyone fancy a meet/rideout maybe Squires and we can take the opportunity to do a bit of map reading and preliminary organise a route for the Scotand trip?
  18. Weather supposed to be good. Anyone fancy meeting up somewhere? Squires perhaps, could bring a map along and try to organise a preliminary route for the Scotland trip?
  19. Setting off from JOG on the 22nd stopping somewhere in the Lake District that 1st night and then following day head onto LE. Stop there get full of beer, wine and grub! Gonna meet up with a few people on the way up and some of us are going to set off a day ealier and stop on the way up and make a bit of a short break of it before we do the long stint. Sponsor forms can be found on this link; http://www.martinhouse.org.uk/fundraising/ Anybody got any suggestions for the route i know that the A82 is a must through Glen Coe and so on, but I'm open to suggestions
  20. Cheers Nman appreciate that!
  21. Coooool!!!! Ok guys thankyou and keep 'em coming!!! Dunno if you've seen the link on the proposed charity; Martin House, a home for terminally ill children, gives the parents a break also. As most of us are parents we can probably appreciate the hard work that goes into something like that and how people find he strength to cope with that kind of situation is a mean feat in itself! Anyway looks like I'll have to get the maps out now.
  22. Me and the missus had a few days up in Scotland last year for our anniversary, the A82 through Glen Coe and round Loch Lomond is an awesome stretch of road, stunning scenery all around you'll love it! We stayed at a veyr friendly B&B down the road from Loch Ness in Invergarry. If You're interested I can dig up the name of the place.
  23. That's not a problem! If anybody just wants to ride part of the way then that's cool, but we do need a hard core of..... Maybe 10 bikes or so to do the full journey. Dates are now set as definates so come and join in this great ride/cause.
  24. Over the next couple of days I'll try and sort a route out and as for the charity I was talking to one of my mates who worked with kids and he told me that there is a kids home near Leeds similar to the one that was featured in LWD. A home for terminaly ill kids, but as it's nearer to home I thought that that would be a good starter. I'll get in touch with them and try and get some more info, as long as everyone is ok with that?? It's called Martin House. Check the link below. http://www.martinhouse.org.uk Come on folks we need more people so lets get going on this!!!
  25. Nice one Rob. And a good idea Can you admin guys put in a voting thingy to confirm who's going to be up for it?? Cheers Gav
