  1. Hi guys, so I've been struggling to work out why my bike won't start. It had been sitting for about 3 weeks. First attempt I could hear the starter motor but wouln't surn over. After about 10 attempts the battery died. I could smell the fuel so thought it was the spark plug, so fitted a new one and charged the battery, with no success. Next I fitted a new battery still no use. My recent discovery was when puting it into 1st, and trying to start it with the clutch in. The bike tries to learch forward. Not sure if that suggests a clutch issue? I've got fuel and don't see any issues with the wiring. Now looking for more ideas.
  2. Ok, so I'm thinking there a leak somewhere, possibly the radiator cap or the hoses. Anyone have any other ideas?
  3. So Today was quite a hot day, I just took the bike out to get fuel the scenic route. about 15 mins I wasn't keeping an eye on the engine temp. Got off at home and coolant all over the place. I had a look at the engine tempo an it was pretty much maxed out. Do you think this is an issue or was it just because it's such a hot day?

    CBF 125 Cutting Out

So I've found my problem. It was the bolt holding the negative on the battery had come off. So the the pump was turning off I guess when I got a bump it lost contact and stalled the bike. I managed to find the bolt so now runs perfect. Thanks for your help though

    CBF 125 Cutting Out

Thanks, Sure a service makes sense
  6. Hi Guys, So I've just started riding and got a 2009 CBF 125. The guy I bought it from said it had been sitting for a while. So I've ridden about 150 miles on it. Then today I stopped at the lights and it cut out, and the engine management light came on. I managed to get it started again after letting the bike sit for a minute. And the warning light had gone. So I kept riding. And this happened a couple more times. But it started if I turned it of and on again. And this even happened when crusing 50mph, the engine just cut out?? Don't know if you have any ideas, what this issue could be? I was thinking it might have been bad fuel, as the fuel is getting low??
