  2. Is there someone else (An oldie) you can put on your insurance ...... not necessarily living at your house. Both my kids and their partners found that putting me on as a named driver lowered their insurance by £100, none live with me.

I went and collected some stuff from Screwfix on my bike. As Screwfix if 14miles away, and Google maps sends me a scenic route, it was a perfectly legal reason and Route. I didn’t even extend it to go get petrol. Damn. 🤔

yeah ....... all the small stuff I have. I need a cover panel but thats 2400x620 mm ....... a tad big for the bike lol

That's one of the best jobs

I was working for a builder back in the early 2000's and he took on a young lad to do most of the labouring jobs, anyway we were doing an extension and the the old drains had to be re-routed.

The young lad turned a funny colour when he eventually dug down to expose the old sewer pipe,  I offered to help him out at that point :angel12:

Then you can come do mine if you like :) .

I can imagine the young lad lol. As a family we have a holiday house in France that has a tank under the garden, when we first got the house it stank and needed some work on the inlets???? and there was a blockage somewhere too ......... guess who ended up helping with that one?????? And because of that I was volunteered into helping my dad when the drains were backing up at the church he maintained ......  Not one of my favourite things. :)

Fortunately I managed to be unavailable last time they needed some work on the tanks in france......... apparently it was verrrrrry fragrant work 🤣🤣

  7. If I was going to take that many tools I'd also need an instruction manual and several hours lessons before hand :) On another note I am hoping to tour in Europe (first time without hubby who would have taken the tool kit) and was wondering what the bear minimum I should take is .......... taking into account that if anything needs doing on the bike other than washing, adding air to tyres and filling with fuel it goes to a garage

  8. I usually give a thumbs up, only stopped a couple of time when I didn't get a response ....... or got thumbs down. One I ended up pillioning him home as he needed to get to his kids parents evening, the other a quick chat and I was on my way ......... Alot goes on the look of the person for me, both were on vintage / classic machines ....... I don't know anything that could help mend the machines but the chances are there's no-one stood behind a bush with a knife :) I've been stranded on the side of the road before waiting for a knight in a white van to arrive and would have welcomed someone to stop and keep me company lol

I regret to say that I bottled out of tossing both simultaneously. Last time I did that I dropped one and then made the mistake of resting the frying pan on the floor to scoop up the mess. The pan melted a hole in the floor which did not go down well.

is that a big oooops or a little oooooopppppps lol
