  10. I don't think it's the chain, the nut seemed very tight before it snapped, then again maybe it's the chain! Can a chain stretch and completely not be able to be adjusted?
  11. Hi guys again.... Right so I hiked my bike up (kymco kr 125) and loosened the wheel nuts, and then proceeded to tighten the nut, it's the type which sticks out the swing-arm with a nut to loosen or tighten, so I try to tighten one side, it gets tight, then the other non-sprocket side, but the chain is still slack, with the bike still hiked I make the wheel turn slowly in first gear to see if things even out, but the chain just hardly changes, so I'm outside in the pooring rain getting pissed and trying to tighten the nut, it gets very stiff, I even out both sides to align the wheel using the markings just to make sure I'm not jamming the wheel bentwards (is that even a word?) then tighten and SNAP! the thing just snaps off, here I must stress that this ain't no cheap chinese tat, but a bike who's parent company is Honda, I just slump on my bike in the wet, knowing my bike is inoperable until I get the part, so I immediately order it, Anyone know why this happened? I've done this before and it worked? But it's gotten loose very quickly (id say four weeks) which I dont think is normal, Your advice is what I'm pending on guys, I can't survive without my bike, help!!!
  12. Ok, I have a kymco kr sport 125cc 4 geared engine, It makes the most dreadful bellowing noise which so far has been the only downside, it's nippy, not one of them Chinese scrap worthy bikes, made by hondas partner, so when changing the stock exhaust what does the new exhaust need to be able to work on my motorbike? So for example I go on eBay and I see loads of exhausts, which don't specify their model belongs to any specific motorbike, what are the rules on this guys?? I know some are illegal aswell, and is there any that would fit my bike which sound decent? Thanks for your replies in advance!!!!!
  13. OK just to say thanks to everyone who has helped...
  14. Ok, so red IS posotive 12v, and green is earth, based on that black and white is ignition kill, the black is ignition on ...and ive connected some wires together, namely red and black, through a connector on to the brown wire which starts everything up, so the motorbike now starts but wont switch off through the remote, to get around this I just press the ignition kill switch, is it ok to keep using the ignition kill switch to switch it off or is that for emergency use only??
  15. THANKS!!!, NOW LOCAED THE EARTH AND POSITIVE,
  16. ok i have my dads 200 pound volt meter, so what do i test for??
  17. Recently my bike was stolen - fairings damaged, and my ignition bashed out (so they could hotwire it) Fixed the fairings for just under 400 quid now the ignition would cost me another 100 because i have to buy the whole set, and my bike (kymco quannon 125) only started production in 08) so no used spare parts just yet, So being clever, I bought a cyclone alarm system off ebay for 30 quid and this can remote start the bike,so Ive wired everything but canNOT identify what each ignition wire does or is. THE IGNITION WIRES: RED, (Which I presume is the 12v supply) GREEN, (presumed earth) BLACK, (dont know) STRIPY BLACK AND WHITE (presumed to be an ignition kill switch) What i cant understand is the flimsy universal wiring diagram, so the wires that the alarm/starter consume off: 2 wires which are earth (pink and grey), and act as kill switch for engine, Brown: ignition on black: earth so somehow these wires wire up to the ignition. so farr ive managed to blow the fuse, please feel free to ask a question, and feel free to help before i pay the auto electrician another 60 quid, PS THE BIKE COST ME 600 QUID SO IM NOT BEING STINGY OR NYTHING, ITS JUST I DONT WANT TO SPEND MORE THAN THE BIKE FIXING IT,
  18. The pipe leading up to my exhaust is very very rusty, Is there anything which I could apply or should I get the part changed, not really got deep pockets so would rather just apply something to remove the rust, saw one of them chrome sprays on ebay, would it work?? Also, what is that piece called?? Every time I write exhaust pipe on google I get a nice list of Arrow exhausts which I dont need??
  19. Ive just had a rear wheel placed on my bike, Avon Roadrider is the name, the guy who replaced my tyre said, to take it easy on the first hundred miles, I asked him what he meant but he gave me a vague answer about the wheel being shiny and the shine goes in the 100 miles and the grip starts?? So exactly what is he trying to say by 'take it easy' ?? and does the new tyre get worse in the rain, if felt like it wanted to give way any moment and left me scared at the corners?? Any advice??
  20. ok. so ive been in the rain for my first time a few days ago, the bike feels really pissed driving in this weather, at corners i dont knee slide, but last saturday I was going quite fast and didnt want to slip my back wheel, so I eased into the oncoming lane (as there was no1 there being new years day) and did a very wide turn, it felt as if, If i leant down anymore the tyre may just slide, the promlem is the road I use has very long straights ending with a few sharp turns and bends before another long straight, thing is cars (and classmates) behind, dont mind me going straight out at 60 mph, but I have to slow down to atleast 20 on a bend, so they take me over and I get really really mad, question is, when in the wet, is it just best to leave off leaning, and slow down, or be more confident and lean in??
  21. Will do, thanks for the help...nd happy new year 2 all.
  22. Hi, I have a kymco kr 125 sport, made by hondas partner, my motorbikes clutch works fine, but at times it gets stiff and wont move into neutral or gear down, even if i put my bodyweight down on it, and the same when pulling up, other times (when driving) its the most smoothest changer, but say i stop at a traffic light and gear down to get into neutral itll just go into first, and wont come up at all or will go into second, so i have to keep my clutch in even at the traffic light (my fingers are gonna fall off soon.lol) As far as i can tell this happens mostly when at a complete stop, except once or twice when it jammed up mid-road which was very scary!! it just wouldnt go into second, it felt like i was in the last gear and there was no more gears upward, even hard pressure pushing upward didnt help, ...and then miraculously after a bit of clutch-bashing its smooth again?? I am completely new to bikes, and the bike was second hand, havent had it more than a few months, any ideas guys?? please help. thx
