  4. I don't care what anyone says that is one mental review, I though u might have copied and pasted
  5. So I passed with 5 minors, rob the examiner is a biker and all in top guy, really makes things easy for you, he is at atherton mptc near bolton, okay so why am I sad? I return home and check the insurance on a zx6r I've been lusting over for ages (2000 zx6r) and guess what 9000£ yes nine grand, my face nearly fell off, no one was cheaper, so I checked the r1 the 600 f, all of them came out with insurance that was bonkers, I'm 18 years old by the way, the bandit came out cheapest at 700 quid, but I really hate the way it looks! It's so naked, and then the weird 1990 gauges, an the retro single headlamp, the sv650 Is ok swell as the hyosung gt, but they both soud shite with a performance exhaust, so yeah, gutted I couldnt get the zx6r...
  6. Got my test today, hope I'm 2nd time lucky...
  7. Got my bike mod 2 today and this is a great help, let's hope I'm second time lucky...
  8. Hi, was always taught that you signal just after you pass the last junction to your turn/manouvre, so why did the examiner signal so early? Well Well before we got to the junction. Also what area do you check when making a lifesaver?
  9. ok, so had a full day of training soaked as f***k and pouring down, i could clench my fist and water would pour out, i practically concentrated on living and not on anything else lol, what i need to know is how to do the moving, some say: mirror, signal, lifesaver and manouvre, lifesaver; and others say something else, Also, in which situation do you NOT do a lifesaver in the direction you are turning, moving?? for eg: we had at one point to make a left signal right lifesaver?? also what about roundabouts? Im totally failing tomorrow, we had a mock test and i failed 3 times and got a gazilion minors, so guys give me the lowdown...
  10. What a race huh?? The Hamilton 360 was AWSOME!! good on button amyway!!!
  11. Lol no it doesn't but it sounds like it's about to explode!!! Why do you have to do it in so many revs though?
  12. Ok, so I went down to the test centre, ( I haven't any boots, so in my nike trainers and full leathers), as soon as I got there, a few other instructors said I might aswell go home due to not wearing boots, I'm however too lucky that the examiner said he'd let me off this once!, so I got in and was feeling very calm, there was no one watching us and it was nice and sunny, so I decided I'd give it my best shot, I exaggerated all the lifesavers, so he got the idea, and because I practiced on a carpark through smaller gaps the test felt way too easy, yesterday I went to an instructor for lessons on mod 2, I told him about mod 1, and he was very amazed I did it on my own, told him about the motorbike forum!! Got mod two on the 11th....
  13. Kymco kr sport 125
  14. Yes it existed before hence the reason I changed the chain and sprocket, it judders just as the clutch kicks in on the first gear, all other gears are fine. As soon as its kicked in, toward the last bit of release of the clutch it's fine,
  15. Hi guys, in first gear my bike shudders just when the clutch kicks in, and I think the chain jitters too, the awkward thing is that ive adjusted the chain, which is practically new, and full of lube, and I've also realised that the top part of the chain hits the top of the swing arm, I was thinking I need to adjust the clutch cable, but when I do, it realistically doesn't make a difference??
  16. Yeeeeeaaaaaa!!!!
  17. So as you may know, got past mod 1, no instructor, now I'm thinking of taking mod 2 the same way, it'd be great to say that I did the whole motorbike thing without an instructor!! It's just that there's a whole load of anomalies in mod 2, anything could happen, whereas mod 1 you know the drill...
  18. So I didn't have the money to get proper training, asked TMBF if it was possible without training, got a whole host of advise and YouTube videos, so went out to practice a few days, in lidl, morrissons and a bunch of other car parks, they were all uneven, and hard, did the circle of 8 around a lampost, slalomed around car bays, I went today and was told by another instructor I couldnt take the exam with my Nike suedes, I was gutted but asked the examiner who let me off....just, went in the car park to see beautiful flat surface, with proper cones (not pepsi bottles which I used) and nailed the exam!!! My one advise would be to exaggerate the lifesaver, do it twice if you have to, and have a massive caffeine drink before. THANKS TMBF for the help and on to mod 2!!!
  19. Jeez, I got mod 1 tomorrow and I'm sooooo nervous (hence why I'm awake and posting at 7 in the morning when it's a holiday) I Haven't had any instructor teach me, somehow been practicing myself!
  20. Hi, anyone know the distance between the two yellow lines in the mod 1? I tried today night on a normal road and it just isn't physically possible, is it 3 car bays space, or less??
  21. Comiserarions lad! I got through my driving test fine, I've got a feeling the motorbike one is going to take ages, keep it up,!!!
  22. Hi guys, just wanted to know, when you drive behind the guys board at slow speed, how many mph is it approximately? 3mph 4mph? I need to know so I can practise, also the slalom, are the cones placed roughly around the width of a parking bay, eg - < say those are the bays, would it roughly be - one cone here, - another here - another here etc....? also, when you do a life-saver, how far back are you ACTUALLY meant to be looking, right down the side?? or just near to the rear tyre??
