  1. Well I rang the dealer, he wasn't concerned at all about the temperatures, said it was normal. He also couldn't identify what the noise was by my description though, said I was welcome to take it in, and could have a loan bike if they needed to keep mine in for any time. I have said i'll see how it goes, try and get some miles in, maybe combine both visits into the 600 mile service.

  2. Mine is on always it seems, even at speed with the wind whistling in, that being said it has been hot. The temp gauge is always 75-95 C though, seems really high to me, problem?

  3. I hear it as soon as I switch press start, and its the kind of background noise I would expect from a pc fan trying to cool a very hot pc, only maybe more liquid based than air.....wow describing noise is hard!

  4. I could do that yes, but the dealer is 20miles away and would mean me taking time off work, if its a usual noise i'd prefer to learn about it the easy way :)

  5. Hi all, just bought a brand new FZ8, love it.

Very noisy though, and I don't mean the exhaust. Sounds like the radiator to me, is this a quirk of the big bike / fazer?

Bearing in mind I came from a 125 to an 800, I really am new to this kind of thing.

    Cheers.

  6. What model was it? 2010 White

When did you buy it and how much did it cost? I bought it on 28th December, 2010, just before the VAT increase :) £3850 new.

Good points? Fun factor ! This bike is so much fun, so fast from lights, so quick around corners, so fast to stop as well.

Looks, I think it looks great, and have been asked in garages so many times 'what size is that? it can't be a 125, its too big!'.

People say RS125's are unreliable and prone to blowing up, probably true, if you do not care of them. If you do take the simplest precautions, then they reward you for it.

Mine has started first time, every time, no matter what weather.

Great acceleration up to 55ish, top speed on learner legal is around 75ish.

Bad points? Probably higher insurance than other 125's.

    High theft target.

WILL blow up if you do not take simple precautions.

Expensive on oil, as have to use good brand fully synthetic.

Would you get another? No, because after passing my test I will be moving onto bigger bikes. I would buy one for my son if he ever wants to get into biking however.
