Yes, I bought a K3 earlier in the year, front fitted underneath the housing for the headlight, rear tucked under the rack but above the rear light. There's as control box that goes, in my case, under the dummy tank cover and a cockpit controller. The connections are all good quality screw connectors and even me, a bloke who gets the instructions out to wire a two pin plug assembled it all easily.
As others have mentioned I also took out the SD card a couple or three times to check it was both recording correctly and to see what the quality of the recording was like. It was and it was good; basically it did what it said on the tin and I don't think about it nowadays. The cockpit controller lights up to show it's working and that's good enough for me. The only criticism I have is that it has an incident mode based on (I think) G Force and on my bike at least, records too many road irregularities as 'incidents'. This does really matter to me as it's still recording, it just saves it in a different file, but it you're trying to replicate a GoPro you might have to fiddle around with the sensitivity setting.
