  1. when you see the Hazard click it then click it a sec later so it deffo pics it up as when i done it with the practice cd rom sometimes you see the Hazard and click but its to early for the test to recognize it - My instructor also told me this
  2. what kind of bike did you try this in? a sports bike might be a bit difficult but an upright bike is no probs as the distance between the two yellow lines is 7.5 meters I believe
  3. yeah i did all my obs right and the bus was not signaling when i committed to overtake but by the time my front wheel was in line with his rear he just pulled out then hit his signal so the examiner said he seen him signal but said im not saying you where wrong about when he signaled so in other words he was not looking at the bus untill i had committed. The thing is 10 mins after this another bus done the same thing pulled out without a signal as i was about to overtake so i started shouting and shaking my head at the bus but the examiner never marked me down for this one even tho it was the same thing. All he said was yeah i seen you shake your head at him and we just had a bit of bad luck the day lol......... As for the woman who started to make a uturn without signaling as i was half way across a junction (minor to a major) he done me for observation as he seen her friends on the pavment waving to her just before i pulled out. Now im looking at traffic coming from left and right not people waving on the pavment straight in front of me and if she was not to busy waving then she would have been signaling and i would have seen it. I Feel if any accident had occurred from any these situations i would have been awarded no fault with insurance. So why can he fail me on them? cheers for the words of encouragement i will be sticking at it I posted that today as soon as i got in from the test and was just really pissed off and probs sulking as thats another few weeks wait and £100 notes down the drain
  4. Just failed my mod 2 on what i would say was down no fault on mine Bus sitting at the bus stop so as i go to overtake it by the time my front wheel gets to his rear wheel he just pulls out then signals - if i had just stayed behind him then i would have got done for undue hesitation or failing to make progress??? so feel that was wrong to fail me on . Second thing Im joining a minor to a major so im looking right left right waiting on trafic to clear so as i move out there is a parked car just at the other side of the junction as im half way out she pulls a uturn without signaling so he failed me on that to. Am i being unreasonable hear? as both times i avoided incident but could not have predicted any of the vehicles where going to move? Im Almost ready to throw towel in but have spent a few thousand on lessons bike and gear.
  5. cheers guys done all that spot on today but failed the mod 2 on a box junction. The lights were at green and i was turning right my rear wheel was just over the stop line but i was not in the yellow box as there was 3 cars in front of me so by the time the last car went right the lights had went red and i stayed put but the examiner said as i was over the stop line i should have went even tho the lights where red. Gutted as i need to wait over 2 week for the resit and my bike is in storage just calling on me lol
  6. Hi got my mod 2 in a few days and seen this on another forum does this seem the right way to do it? MAJOR to minor road>> >> RIGHT TURN >> On being told to turn RIGHT ->> 1) Check both mirrors, understand what is around and ahead >> 2) Indicate >> 3) RIGHT LIFESAVER and position the bike as near to the centre line as safe >> 4) Adjust speed (use brakes to show traffic you are slowing).Select suitable gear >> 5) RIGHT LIFESAVER before committing >> 6) Turn using clutch control if necessary >> 7) Look ahead for speed signs, parked cars etc>> 8) Cancel indicator>> 9) Check mirrors >> 10) Accelerate as appropriate>> >> >> >> LEFT TURN >> On being told to turn LEFT->> 1) Check both mirrors, understand what is around and ahead >> 2) Indicate >> 3) LEFT LIFESAVER and position the bike slightly left of centre >> 4) Adjust speed (use brakes to show traffic you are slowing).Select the suitable gear >> 5) LEFT LIFESAVER>> 6) Turn using clutch control if necessary >> 7) Look ahead for speed signs, parked cars etc>> 8) Cancel indicator>> 9) Check mirrors >> 10) Accelerate as appropriate>> >> >> > > minor to MAJOR ROAD>> RIGHT TURN >> On being told to turn RIGHT ->> 1) Check both mirrors, understand what is around and ahead >> 2) Indicate >> 3) RIGHT LIFESAVER and position the bike as near to the centre line as safe >> 4) Adjust speed (use brakes to show traffic you are slowing).Downshift gears and get ready to stop if necessary >> 5) Look RIGHT – LEFT - RIGHT>> 6) RIGHT LIFESAVER before committing >> 7) Turn using clutch control if necessary (glance LEFT to check nothing going to sideswipe you)>> 8) Look ahead for speed signs, parked cars etc>> 9) Cancel indicator>> 10) Check mirrors >> 11) Accelerate as appropriate>> >> LEFT TURN>> On being told to turn LEFT ->> 1) Check both mirrors, understand what is around and ahead >> 2) Indicate >> 3) LEFT LIFESAVER and move closer to kerb >> 4) Adjust speed (use brakes to show traffic you are slowing).Downshift gears and get ready to stop if necessary >> 5) Look RIGHT – LEFT - RIGHT>> 6) LEFT LIFESAVER before committing >> 7) Turn using clutch control if necessary >> 8) Look ahead for speed signs, parked cars etc>> 9) Cancel indicator>> 10) Check mirrors >> 11) Accelerate as appropriate>> > > > > cheers
  7. I done the mod 1 test last week and failed doing the hazard avoidance at 49kph. The rest i got perfect. Even after being a bag of nerves due to hitting the cut of switch on the bike whilst doing the manual handling and not being able to figure out why the bike would not start lol i still thought the test was easy enough its just i let off the gas before i hit the speed trap. Now what does grind my gears is that ive rebooked it for next week and if i do the test exactly the same as the first time even the hazard avoidance at 49kph this time it will be a pass due to the rules being changed next monday! So why could they not just have passed me last wk lol
  8. Hi looking for opinions on these textile jackets I was all set to buy the rst Ventilator II from hear http://www.garlandsmotorcycles.com/rst- ... 3088-p.asp but have just discovered the Vector Armoured Waterproof from hear http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vector-Armoured-W ... 3f07143725 both look very much the same but have a large difference in price. Do you think the Vector Armoured will be same as the rst just without the badge or would there be a huge difference in quality?
