  1. Yeah I'll just try to make one, the whole bracket is around 35-40 € which isn't a lot but the bracket is a piece that doesn't move and therefore doesn't wear out so there is no point in replacing it. The only reason to replace it would be if the bike is in an accident and the bracket gets damaged but mine is good. I also realized that if you're replacing the pin and the nut on which the pad with the u shape attaches you can't get it by itself you have to buy the whole bracket which I don't understand why they did it that way.
  2. The pad with the u shape that attaches to both pins is the inner one, I am talking about the outer pad which just attaches to one pin and slots in the bracket. The piece that is missing is supposed to put pressure on the outer pad so it doesn't move when the piston retracts. I realize I wrote it wrong in the first post where I said it faces out and not that it is the outer one.
  3. Because I rode the bike from may to november and since I used the rear brake the piston held it in place but now its been sitting for the winter and I only pushed it around my garage to move it from one side to another without using the rear brake which pushed the piston enough to allow the pad to slide down on that side, the other side has a pin hanger so it doesn't move there but on this side it is missing this little piece and if I ride the bike it probably won't fall but if it does and I don't notice it means I wouldn't have a fully functioning rear brake and it could wear of just one side of that pad and possibly damage something. I'd rather not take the chance of it doing it when I go riding.
  4. I do need it because without it the pad can slide down when the brake piston retracts. That is why I wanted to know if there is anywhere you can buy it.
  5. Honestly not sure what its called but when i removed the bracket there was no sign it was there so I'm guessing it's been lost for quite some time. I think I'll see if I can make one from some scrap steel that I got around, didn't really want to mess around with it because not sure of the dimesions but I don't have any plans for this weekend and apparently it's going to rain so I'll see what I can do.
  6. I recently bought a "01 Honda Varadero 125 and I decided to replace the pads when I noticed that in the rear the pad that faces out isn't held in properly, so I checked in the service manual and and it is missing a washer/pad retainer that goes on the pin bolt(circled in the picture). I want to know if there is anywhere to buy just this washer because everywhere I look you can only buy the whole caliper bracket and i don't need the entire thing. Maybe there is a similar washer that might fit from a different bike. I appreciate any help.
