Not in the last 10 years as I took a hiatus and only got back on last year, but once in the 10 years before (not counting static drops). Only a mile from home, after navigating 40 miles on the M25 during rush hour, I grabbed too much front brake on a single lane road and went over the bars ! Twat !

Great read. I am a complete novice on mechanics but decided that now with time on my hands it's about time that I should get my hands dirty. I bought a bike to get back on the road (it had been standing for about 5+ years), hoping that I won't need to be having to get too involved for my first attempt, but finding one thing leads to another. God I hope that I don't have to delve as deep as you have as I am a complete novice who has entered into this as a part of a learning curve. By the way, your bike looks great, and as others have said you just don't always know what you are getting ! -
Once the sales increase, these will change. Road tax will definitely be re-introduced, they wouldn't want to lose out on revenue in the long term,

Hi All, Haven't ridden for about 9 years. Am currently waiting on a new build CCM Spitfire Six, but they seem to be taking ages, so hopefully I can get back on the road when the weather is still good otherwise I will have to get a winter hack. Will have lots of questions over the next few months and will be looking for events in the south east to attend. Ride safe !
