  1. Thanks Mike. It's a shame, because I love the bike. I'm surprised RE don't check their dealers more. This one has awful reviews, and rightly so as far as I can tell. And the nearest other dealer is very far away. But I think I'll take it somewhere else for my next service!
  2. Hi everyone, I have a 1 year old Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and recently have noticed some issues with it. I would normally take it directly back to the place I bought it but they have a terrible reputation for repairs (unfortunately it was the only RE dealer in my area). Also I should add that I have no idea about motorbikes! Sorry if I don’t explain this very well. The issue is loss of power. Not sudden, but a general loss of power. I have to shift gears way sooner than I normally do. From 1st to 6th is so short. I can't go above 3500 rpm as it feels and sounds like it's going to break. I felt it yesterday on the highway the most. The bike really struggles at just 50mph in 6th gear. Normally doing 50mph in 5th is no problem at all but it now sounds like I’m pushing it really hard. Mostly I ride in the city and rarely use 6th, but now I’m constantly having to use it. The best way to describe is that it’s as if I’m suddenly riding a 250cc bike. Apart from this problem it’s running totally fine. I recently topped up the engine oil with synthetic oil, which I read was fine to do. I’ve checked the levels and everything seems fine. I live in Germany and have a hard time with the language, so any help with this before I have the stress of taking it to a garage would be much appreciated! Best, JJ
