  1. 1982 Honda GL500 V twin Bobber for sale in Warrington Cheshire

    SOLD

mot next summer  17 August 23

    approx. 51000 miles

Lots of work done on it before I bought it, fork seals, new tyres etc

New stator, carbs cleaned out with rebuild kit, new engine oil and filter. It's got a decent battery, good swinging arm and a lovely classic headlamp.

There is a bit of wear in the gearbox and one front caliper sticks a bit but frees off with use.

lots of spares, crash bars, engine bits, radiator , downpipes and it has a windshield as well.

Don't know what its worth but selling cheap as I need it gone to make space

  2. I think that 25 would be a more realistic limit, easier to comply instead of constantly staring at the speedo to check on speed, most car speedos are a little fast anyway so majority would be round about the 25 even when pushing the limit at little, modern cars would stop in a few yards at that speed after the thinking distance of course

My clock packed up so I've dismantled it and looking for a replacement movement. Whether I will be able to get the tiny bits back together again remains to be seen.

Just shove a cheap movement in it an paint the hands white or use old hands if they fit

    Hello Bikeowner,

Welcome to The Motorbike Forum. Please feel free to browse around and get to know the others. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Why not tell us a bit about yourself too.

Thanks, nice forum with a good mix of machines, I'm a pensioner in my mid seventies and love anything mechanical, I like eighties/nineties bikes as they are usually leak free and reliable without being too complicated, don't get out riding as much as I should these days due to problems with the Honda but I'll get there eventually, life gets in the way of tinkering sometimes.

  5. Thanks for adding me, I  have recently regretted selling my 350 Jawa,  also sold on a CB750 4 , Honda GL700 and Kawasaki EN500, had lots of fun on them but can't keep them all.  Nice to own and ride what you fancy then move on I suppose, currently I have Honda GL500 Bobber with problems, might get some miles on it if all goes well.
