  1. Stuck it on Gumtree Ebay charge too much so avoiding that if I can Thanks I'll look at Bike Shed
  2. Any tips on selling this machine? Price too high, too low Limited market for an altered bike I know do need to get it gone though
  3. I guess you're right there I'll add a price and stand well back Added price tag
  4. Surprised no one wants this bike, it's a great ride and also about half price so as I can shift it and get on with my project bike
  5. 1982 Honda GL500 V twin Bobber for sale in Warrington Cheshire SOLD mot next summer 17 August 23 approx. 51000 miles Lots of work done on it before I bought it, fork seals, new tyres etc New stator, carbs cleaned out with rebuild kit, new engine oil and filter. It's got a decent battery, good swinging arm and a lovely classic headlamp. There is a bit of wear in the gearbox and one front caliper sticks a bit but frees off with use. lots of spares, crash bars, engine bits, radiator , downpipes and it has a windshield as well. Don't know what its worth but selling cheap as I need it gone to make space
  6. On the back burner, need to sell my GL500 bobber first to make room
  7. I have a project 750 Honda (1976) to do so it makes sense to sell the GL to give me some room. Maybe have a few more rides out first though.
  8. Rode the bobber and decided that it's getting cold so do I sell or tuck her up for the winter ?
  9. I think that 25 would be a more realistic limit, easier to comply instead of constantly staring at the speedo to check on speed, most car speedos are a little fast anyway so majority would be round about the 25 even when pushing the limit at little, modern cars would stop in a few yards at that speed after the thinking distance of course
  10. Rode mine about 80 miles, pitstop half way for a very expensive shandy.
  11. Rad fixed, rear brake adjusted so off out for a spin.
  12. Just collected my new project, keep me busy over the winter
  13. Just shove a cheap movement in it an paint the hands white or use old hands if they fit
  14. Picking up my latest motorcycle this evening. Good news is that it's a1972 CB750 Bad news is that it's a hard tail chop be interesting making it mine Radiator burst on the 500 gl Honda yesterday
  15. Chorley cake - Wikipedia Just soldering new end on cable to starter motor, should be up and running for mot then
  16. I also like Chorley cakes, with a bit of butter on
  17. Finally got the damn thing running only to find that my mot ran out. Test ride today then book her in, months of throwing parts at it and all that was needed was a bit of cling film on the inlets.
  18. Found a use for an old helmet
  19. Thanks, nice forum with a good mix of machines, I'm a pensioner in my mid seventies and love anything mechanical, I like eighties/nineties bikes as they are usually leak free and reliable without being too complicated, don't get out riding as much as I should these days due to problems with the Honda but I'll get there eventually, life gets in the way of tinkering sometimes.
  20. Thanks for adding me, I have recently regretted selling my 350 Jawa, also sold on a CB750 4 , Honda GL700 and Kawasaki EN500, had lots of fun on them but can't keep them all. Nice to own and ride what you fancy then move on I suppose, currently I have Honda GL500 Bobber with problems, might get some miles on it if all goes well.
