I have just booked my theory test for 17th apr and don't know how to revise for it. I have a book of the highway code, but there must be a revision book for the motorbike theory test that I could memorise, any suggestions? Also has anyone done the theory test recently and could i learn from your mistakes or success? i.e how long was the test and what sort of things did it cover? Thanks in advance Alex

My kawasaki kh125 1981 wouldnt spark so i got an electrician to locate the problem which he thinks is the coil pack, so I got a new ignition coil which I think is the same thing but the coil pack on the bike has one lead connecting to the spark plug (same as the new one) but 2 other wires coming out of it and the new one has only one. Anyone know where I can find a coil pack to fit my bike, it has a 6v battery.

After putting the new battery in everything works fine, indicators included. But it still wont start.

Put a new fully charged battery in and it still wont start. Could the spark plug be wet for about 3 or 4 days without drying? Im getting a spark plug socket and am going to take it out later today.
-
How would I go about removing the spark plug I have been trying this morning and it wouldnt budge.
-
Not sure about the charging, I bought a new battery and am now charging it overnight. that sentance about the spark plug made no sense to me, what it a HT lead? im guessing you mean high tension? Not sure what the cylinder head is.turn the bike over with the kickstart; what does that mean?

I was riding my 1981 Kawasaki KH 125 the other day and it started running very roughly, (kind of like it does when I am on a high gear at a low speed). Then the engine cut off, and I havnt been able to start it since. Thanks in advance, Alex.

My 1981 Kawasaki KH125 isnt charging the battery inside it (it is a 6v system by the way), so what should I do? I returned it to the guy who sold it to me and he said he charged it for a minute and it was fine, but after a 20 minute journey the lights started dimming, then went completely out. Any theories? Alex.

Well the battery problem existed before the indicators were fitted, I gave the bike back to the guy who sold it to me and i thought they were fixed. Could it be the battery is not charging when the motorbike is going?

I am now thinking its something to do with the battery. Today all the lights started going dim then went out after a 5 minute ride. Should I buy a new battery?

Are Flasher relays fairly straight forward to fit? (I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to motorbikes, I just turned old enough to buy one 2 months ago) Thanks.

Havn't a clue I will ask the man tomorrow, its just abit hard to find specific items as it hold a 6v battery.

I got Indicators fitted on my Kawasaki KH 125. The man who was fitting them told me he needed a lighting coil for them to work but I posted a question asking if it did and people dissagreed, and so did my friend who is in car and motorbike electrics. So i picked the bike up without a lighting coil fitted and the indicators seemed to work fine (with a 1 second delay from the switch to the indicators), I was riding home and they worked about 15 times but then stopped working half way through my journey and they dodnt seem to work anymore . Doesnt anyone know why this happened? Or is it just because the bike acually did need a new lighting coil? The headlight taillight and neutral indicator have now stopped working, the battery must be flat i assume. P.S All the other electrics work fine; headlight, taillight and neutral light. Thanks in advance, Alex.

The individual who is fixing indicators to my 1981 Kawasaki KH 125 (with a 6 volt battery), said he cant finish it without a very hard to track down lighting coil, (Kawasaki do not manufacture them any more). I talked to a friend who made a career in car and motorbike elctronics, and he said there would be no need for a lighting coil for indicators, so i'm pretty torn between the two options; leave it with him for an unknown period of time until he finds a lighting coil, or ride it home as it is and let my friend wire it up without a lighting coil. Please give your opinion it would be greatly appreciated. Alex.
