thanks very much for input ,the floats seemed ok and free of fuel on stripdown and I tend to think its a needle seating issue.

Hi all, I recently stripped both carbs as the bike would not idle and as suspected one jet was blocked and the other partially blocked.Since then it ticks over a treat but when I go for a little ride it smells of petrol and sometimes it leaks petrol from the air box drain which is the larger pipe with the slit valve in the end. I am thinking its a stuck float issue but I dont fancy stripping them both down again. I usually tap the carb bowl with a small hammer and it stops but I would welcome any thoughts on the subject. Hi, it seems my starter is loose and requires some attention but the cover bolts will require torquing once the fix is done but I cannot find the settings if anyone can advise. Thanks in advance
