  1. The lights come on now I meant when I put the new relay on nothing would happen so I but the old one back in and the lights were working just about but think my battery is dead. Still when I try to kick start it it’s like there’s no compression and just kick straight down. it does not make the noise anymore there’s no sound it’s like the engine is dead cause when I first tried to start it it would make that grinding sound as I kicked it and it would sound like it’s about to start but wouldn’t fire up I thought it could be engine oil as loads leaked out from where the generator is when I opened it not sure if that is meant to happen but I have put fresh oil in I also put a new spark plug in
  2. Hello first post in here hoping to get some help I brought a 2008 Yamaha ybr couple weeks back and it wouldn’t start off button or idle (would die out if didn’t keep revs up) so I took it to a bike shop and he told me the alternator was gone and was not charging battery so after abit of research I ordered a new alternator, rectifier, starter relay and spark plug anyway when the the alternator came and I tried to put it on then realised that it was wrong one as would not fit so I put the old one back in so I could just drive it,fitted new rectifier and relay but had to put old relay back in as nothing would happen (no lights on dash)when tried the new one.then I tried to start it off kick start but for some reason was making horrible grinding sound and would not start it would go to start but not fire up fast forward a week or so I’ve tried to start it again but it feels as if there is little to no compression at all when kicking it I’ve put fresh oil in it as it all leaked out from where alternator is I’m not sure if it’s meant to have oil in there or what. does anyone have any idea what the problem could be pleaseeee
