  1. 'Course not Trouble. I think I'm gonna need three pairs of eyes to find somewhere to park. Lucky it's only an ickle car eh...? See ya tomoz chick. Will text ya with timings etc...
  2. Well I can't. I can't hold the bike upright with one hand and crouch down to position the paddock stand at the same time, nor can I lift the bike with one hand. I can do the track bike by leaning it upright against the garage wall, but I wouldn't do that with the Blade...
  3. The simple answer is I don't pay all year round. I cash the tax in and downgrade the insurance to garage only. That usually gives me about £75 back at at time of the year when I need it most. I usually put the bike back on the road in March/April time so it's only off the road for 4/5 months. There may be the occasional weekend day between November and February where the roads are dry, frost and salt-free and the temperature is above 15º, but I wouldn't count on it and it's worth more to me to have an extra £75 in me pocket...
  4. Houdy, my paddock stand is rubbash. The bike needs to be upright to get it in place, then it's a whole body weight job to push it down. Def a two person job. I think I need to invest in one of them abba stands one day if I ever have any spare money...
  5. Me n Bex n Trouble were thinking of coming, but we will be in the cage and can't get there before about 6ish... I'm guessing this means I'll struggle to find anywhere to park...
  6. I'm putting mine away for winter this weekend. It gets a good clean, battery connected to optimate, put on paddock stand (if I can persuade someone to come and help!), dust cover and that's about it. Then it gets a mini service before I put it back on the road in spring...
  7. Can't do 1st. Works do is on the 8th but I'm unlikely to wanna go to that anyway. 15th is fine. 2nd/9th/16th are all Sundays so no drinking or staying out late...
  8. Was planning to go to this but struggling to convince any of my mates at the moment. They don't like the idea of staying sober on a Satdy night bless 'em...
  9. No one waved at me!! Seriously though, sorry for being such a lightweight. No money, things to do, too cold, don't like cat & fiddle and a few more excuses for good measure... I sincerely hope to be out and about a bit more next year when I've done a bit more recuperating. I do believe it is now time to hibernate... Glad to hear it were nowt too serious with Wildhog chap. Stay safe people. I'm off to the pub to watch the rugby...
  10. So what happened after I left you lot and shivered home...? Cheers Phil. Nowt serious thank feck...

  13. Can do Matlock for a cuppa but not C&F 'cos too skint (and it will be too cold for a wimp like me). Soz...
  14. Ahem. 16 miles and approximately 20 mins for me. I might actually make it...
  15. 18th-21st April I think Psycho. Tends to get booked solid by the end of Jan, unlike the October one...
  16. Unbelievable weather at Skeggy! Warm and dry for ride there. Bit of rain overnight on Friday then sunny and dry all weekend. Turned colder today so a chilly but dry ride home. Never known Skeggy weather to be that good...
  17. Yep. Although I may be on my pedal cycle instead, what with it being the weekend after Skeggy and the weekend before payday...
  18. OK, I'll hold off moving there until you lot have been and gone... Seriously, I went back in 2002. Fantastic. One day I'll do it again for keeps. But not next year...
  19. Soz, don't want any personal details on the internerd. Will sort summat out via phone...
  20. Don't have access to that bit. But I think I have Vicki's number somewhere. Or if I don't, Bex definitely has...
  21. Tony, if you get into Matlock Bath from Matlock end on the A6, ride right through, past the cable car, shops on your right, river (the Derwent) on your left. Then you'll get to a little burger shop on your left next to the river, after which there are a couple of shops and then a car park on the left with a fish pond in front of it, opposite a pub called the fish pond and next to a large pinkish building which is the mining museum. I'm a red-haired bird on a blue blade. Simple...
  22. The fish pond you mean. By the, erm, fish pond and the mining museum?
  23. I can do that if I get my fat butt in gear...
  24. Vicki, are ya organising a Skeggy meet chick...?
  25. I think I'm going out this afternoon. But it will be east of midlandshire. Got a wee bit of shopping to do first. Hope the sun comes out...
